There is a longer video of this same performance. At the beginning they talk with one of the members who was born with one leg. She plays the flute and does all of the moves the same as anyone else. At the end of the video they march out and another band is there, they look like they were enjoying the performance as well.

Hi Your reaction is quite normal for this truly amazing High School Band. And yes for this tour to America, there were Alumni students also ( all ex KT), but they are still passionate after leaving the band . Once a KT, always a KT. One young lady in the band had only just left from school. but was presented for her tremendous courage in that she was born with one leg and battled to join the band. Her nickname is Kurara and she played the flute and wearing her prosthetic leg, she danced and played with all the other girls in the band as you saw. As people have said there are many more videos of this incredible school on RU-vid, taken by really enthusiastic videographers. Just type in Kyoto Tachibana SHS Band and get blown away even more on how they can dance and play at the same time perfectly. They have been given a nickname of the Orange Devil’s. I always end with a saying, The Future Is Bright, The Future Is Orange 🍊

Hi Ms. Myrna! Thank you for giving attention to the KT SHS Band. Yes, @8:18 it is a T-rex mascot while KT is playing the Jurassic Park theme song. I'd say this video is frown upon by many because you are not able to see what other members are doing. They have hundreds of videos. You need to watch the Benfits Concert they did at John F Kennedy high school in LA Palma California. It's 55mins long. But Very Good. I went to junior high school across the street from JFK. But it was in 1966 they just finished jfk.
