REACTION - 京都橘高校 Kyoto Tachibana High School Green Band Rose Parade 2018「4ｋ」 

The parade is 5½ miles long and the band finished it in less than 2hours. This is the Second time that KT performed in the Rose parade(Since 2012) and this second time blew up the bands popularity all around the world. In this video there are almost 200 band members that are present where half are active and the other half already graduated(alumnae) but recruited back specifically for the Disneyland parade performance, Pasadena Bandfest, Rose Parade and Green festival concert. They stayed in California right before Christmas up until January 3. In the Bands history this is the largest performance that KT has put up. Not to mention that they have 10 songs in there playlist in that parade where most of it has choreography

The female student who was playing the flute in the last row danced through the marching to the finish line, despite the fact that she had a prosthetic leg. She was so lively and energetic, marching with a beautiful smile on her face, that I couldn't believe it when I saw her again after I found out 🌱🌱 I can't describe it in one word, "moving," it made my heart tremble! And I'm glad, too, that you sincerely enjoyed this long marching session!!!

Congratulations, you discovered Chippi. Chippi is the young smiling face lady playing the bells( lyre ) you so frequently mentioned. She is also a prominent player of The O-vils that I told you about where she is known for playing the keytar and still smiles when she is performing. In fact quite a few of the members of The O-vils can be found in that parade. Also the last flute player on the right on the last row is Hitomi who I have also mentioned. I don't want to give too much away but, if you watch the 2018 Pasadena Band Fest you will learn what a remarkable young lady she is. Listen for the announcer to introduce her and tell her story. You might want to have a box of tissues and prepare to be amazed at the determination of this young lady. Also there is a concert that they do and that vedio is over an hour long and I recommend you to watch that one as well and have a box of tissues for that as well. Because it's so long I will understand if you didn't put it up on your channel or at least have it divided up into parts. Enjoy discovering Kyoto Tachibana.

Love your reactions -- they're really genuine and much what I felt when watching for the first time. I love this because performing in front of an American audience is not like performing in front of a Japanese audience -- Americans tend to be effusive and expressive in their emotions and will yell out for this band. Japanese are more reserved, but I know these kids loved the exuberance of the audiences here.

The KT contingent for the Rose Parade was 150 students plus 50 additional OG's (Old Girls or alumnis). The 3 Drum Majors in front are "Ron" (center), "Pimo" (left, who incidentally looks like my daughter Maiko) and "Cony" (right).

200 members including their alumnai... Kyoto tachibana shs band are the darling of the crowd during 2018 rose parade.... The Band headed by their drum majors Yui Ron on front, Pimo and Cony. Tha two aspiring drum majors are Okazel and Suzuka are the Color guard at left and right side. Best marching band in Asia.

Hello, when they play the " Star Wars Theme " they are resting. When the play the " Hawaii 50 Theme " they are trying to catch the float in front of them. They are an entertaining band. " Down By the Riverside " is their theme song. Before reaching the Parade End they played it three times in a row.

Sorry KJ but you picked the wrong video to react to, the one I recommended - The GBA official archive - is 10 minutes shorter and is the first 26 minutes of their parade with the cameraman actually marching with the band and so has wonderful pictures of the Band and the crowd with a well-balanced sound. This one does not and - more importantly! - misses the absolute highlight of their parade, executing a hairpin bend with what we call the "Super Mario Turn" and straightening up, spreading out and whacking into "Singx3" then "Fireball" and back into "Singx3". The Crowd Erupts and goes Bananas!!! And you've missed it!!

I like you and this video. but I,m sorry BGM disturbs it though it is good editing.

An amazing performance, though the video did not show the band members giving and receiving high fives from the audience which was one of my favorite parts to watch. The only thing I did not like was the float behind the band kept honking their horn for no reason, which was annoying to listen to for the entire time.
