It may be cheap to buy but expensive to keep on the road, parts and labour cost are quite high albeit slightly better with Indy. Almost 20 years old Porsche so expect some very expensive maintenance bills for radiator cross pipes, suspension refresh and corroded CV joints on top of regular servicing.
Was that a new Infotainment system that you were wirinf up to the car? If so, what make is it and what functionality does it provide? Just bought a 987 S and want to install a new infotainment (if one is available on the market) that allows Android play & Apple Connectivity.
This is an Android unit, touch screen. Allows CarPlay for iPhone. Conventional Radio. Also multiple other cables for WiFi, videos etc. It’s from China. Arrived in just over a week. Quality is good! Just had to pack out the unit with foam tape so it sat in snug in original centre console. Nice oem plus look for the car! After doing a long trip definitely helped having Waze and Spotify! Many Thanks for the reply. I could not see it properly fitted in place in the video. Do you have photos or a short vid of it in place working? And how challenging was it to install? @@jakewilliamsbikesandcars141
@@White1404 Three wires to ideally solder to a harness, another section is plug and play so easy. could use a crimp bullet connector instead of soldering. Couple side panels off and then side leather trims off around radio edge that then allows you to remove original audio head unit cage. Simple to use. I don’t have a detailed video no. Can do a short at weekend of it working as it’s not my daily. No instructions given in box but a WhatsApp number for any help and they were helpful . Supplied a wire fitting diagram.
