About the asparagus, you’re supposed to let them go to fern the first two years to let the plant mature, and then harvest on the third year (depending on the variety). After that, they should give you asparagus every year for like 15-30 years (depending on the variety).

Casey, you are doing so well with your gardening. You can cut the pieces of lavender about 10 inches long and gather the little bundle and hang upside down to dry in your home. The plant will grow more and more.

Just a little tip for gardening put your finger in the dirt if it’s moist, no water if it’s dry, you need water! Good luck on the gardening♥️

I love your house and watching your vlogs!!! I’m jealous of the weather up there too, in Baton Rouge we’ve had the HOTTEST summer! We can’t go outside during the day due to it which is kinda funny bc the parks are packed with kids starting around 8pm because that’s the only time we can get the kids out to play!!! Gardening is definitely trial and error 😅 Your asparagus will grow but they will be small the first two years. They recommend not harvesting it until it’s in its second or third year so that it can establish a good root system. Then will get normal/large asparagus. 😉

Very leggy!!!! That means they are reaching for sun. Not a good thing. And yes your asparagus are looking great! You want to leave them alone tho so next year they come in thicker and stronger! Also, I have the exact same moisture meter and love it! Great little tool to have. Research companion planting. Some plants don’t do well next to others. You are doing wonderful girl!!! Keep going! Every year you will learn so incredibly much and every year it will be even more incredible!

12:06 you want the top to dry out a little bit, if the plants roots need to search down low for water, the roots grow deeper and stronger. Usually an inch -ish down.

Okay so with the veggies, I water everyday once they are established. But don't overthink it! If it's dry around the surface give them a little water, if they look a little crunchy give them some water! You will probably want to space things out a little more next year, but you'll realize that once they all start growing in lol girl It is a learning process and it's so fun! I'm on my second year with a full ass garden and it's been crazy! But it's so worth it! If you put those strawberries in the ground they will go crazy and make a huge patch! I could talk about gardening for hours lmao 🤣 I'm gonna be 35 and these videos give me life! I love it ❤ the kids are getting so big! 😍 please keep making videos like this! Xoxoxox

Hello 👋, quick gardening tips. Don’t water your plants from the top water from them on the roots. Also I really recommend buying any plants from Proven winners they will bloom and last a long time. I recommend watching Garden Answers she is really good at gardening. Thank me later 😂

IF YOU DO SEE THIS. A LOT OF TIMES ITS BETTER TO BOTTOM WATER YOUR PLANTS. BECAUSE IT ALL STARTS IN THE ROOTS. AND A LOT OF TIMES IF YOU JUST RUN OVER THEM WITH THE WATER HOSE THE WHOLE THING DOESNT GET THE AMOUNT OF WATER IT NEEDS. AND IT CAN CREATE MOLD IF THE WATER SETS ON TOP. ALSO IF YOU BOTTOM WATER THEY CAN SOAK UP WHAT THEY NEED. SO WHAT I DO IS I JUST GET A BIG OLE SHEET PAN OR ANYTHING THATS DEEP ENOUGH TO SET THEM IN. AND I FILL IT WITH WATER AND LET THEM ALL DRINK WHAT THEY NEED. ALSO IF YOU WATER THEM FROM THE TOP AND THEY SET IN THE SUN IT CAN SCORCH THE LEAVES 😢

the mint . Get that thing out of there before you get an entire garden bed full of mint lol. the peppers like it HOT . Asparagus will grow every year they will just get thicker and established .
