A brief history:
Born in Kenya, Eastern Africa. I moved to London, the UK at a young age, I lived in London until 2 years ago (2015) when I moved permanently to Brooklyn, New York.
I met my husband Matthew on vacation to Miami in 2008. We kept in touch after the vacation but lost touch for a few years.
We started speaking again around (2010) and entered into a Long-distance relationship for a few years until we got married, and I moved to Brooklyn.
I started my RU-vid channel to share this new journey/city with my family and friends. They enjoyed keeping up with me so much, I then decided to share my journey with YOU too.
We love travelling and enjoy documenting our travels in hopes to inspire, give ideas, answer questions, and to ignite the flame within YOU to get out there and EXPLORE!

Girl, hands down the best meal I've had it definitely wasn't cheap but worth it. It's defo cheaper that resort/restaurants food but that bread girl $7.55 JESUS!! You know the AFRICAN ACCENT came flying out!! The new edits are down to time in my hands so, I've learnt how to do a few new things which are great. Thanks for supporting always :-)

I like your video. You can fish off the rocks in Bermuda for some fish fry to helpdefray some costs , Loquats , Surinam cherries and lots of various citrius fruit grows all over the place. I picked a "Twig, " we call them, of loquats, for a young lady at the bus stop ... Bermuda is expanzive, is for sure :) Oh the token things been going on for well over 60 years. like everything , the more things change, the more things stay the same.

Hi. Enjoyed your Bermuda vlog👍🏿 I made Bermuda home for seven years, working at the island’s hospital. I was paid very well but nothing quite prepares you for the high prices - everything from food and electronics to rent, broadband prices and buying a car!! The first time I went to the supermarket to buy my groceries, I spent about $150 and walked out of the store with just 3 brown bags😟 Produce is grown in Bermuda and is often at a lower price point than imported produce, but clearly not enough is grown to feed the entire population. Many locals grow or have returned to growing their own vegetables.

Wow! What a beautiful place to call home for 7 years. I am sure you was sad to leave the island. I was so surprised at how expensive it was, it was really mind blowing. It's lovely that the locals are growing their own produce because a everything helps with those prices.

No, I didn't know about Harbour Night. We went to Bermuda at the end of the season which meant a lot of things had shut down around the harbour.

My philosophy about the grocery prices in Bermuda works like this: what we make per week could buy more bread at 5-7$ as opposed to living in the US or UK on their wages doing the same exact job. A stone mason in Bermuda can make $1500 USD in a 50 hr work week.

Beautiful video! I just came back from visiting Bermuda. The island was beautiful but like you mentioned, it’s wayyy to expensive and the food isn’t that good. Great experience, but I’d rather go to the other Caribbean countries that are known for their good food and cheaper prices.

That is literally how it is when we go to Jamaica, everything is extremely over priced and heavily taxed. And that gratuity for any sized party is crazy. I️ know some places in NYC will charge gratuity for a party of 4 or more but it’s just the 2 of you. Ugh! I wonder if you go further in town where the locals are if things would be more affordable.

The gratuity things pisses me off cos I think it should be down to how the customer feels the service went. Yeah in NYC it's the culture too just tip everywhere... We went to the local supermarket non tourist and as you saw it was expensive. The local food we had they didn't add gratuity, however, there were hardly any local places to eat and everything closed at like 8.

There are places where tips are optional, you just have to know where to look. Also there's plenty of local food places, just ask the locals.

A small island pivotally located near major cities of the world, like NYC, tend to be expensive, because of location, land value, etc. The more valuable the place, of course the more expensive it's going to be.

The bus accepts tokens, tickets, or cash. The fare is $5, a sheet of tickets is around $50

They might've said that because for visitors it's probably more efficient. Locals tend to use the tickets or passes, (school aged children ride free).

Most probably that was the reason why I do wish I knew cos at times we didn't have tokens and had cash but we ended up walking as we thought the bus only took tokens.

A trip to Bermuda sounds like it cost an arm and a leg. I'll stick with Virginia Beach and Myrtle Beach if I want summer time fun. Still, very nice looking country. I still have a hard time comprehending how Coconut Palms can grow in a place as north as North Carolina.

Bermudian have cars from Europe, Japan , they have limousines, lots of people have cars, but yeah we are small and expensive, highest cost of living in the world! Yes we are on par with American dollar, no tax though!

Xoch BX - yes it is relatively safe for everyone! People are friendly naturally, it is just more expensive than most places to live and travel, but with a bit of engenuity you can have a wonderful , safe holiday, and less expensive, at the same time enjoyable, . The weather is great most of the year and there is not much rain on a daily weekly basis.

yes it is absolutely a beautiful small island, it is only twenty two square miles and you can go up and down the island within two hours. it does have very winding roads so you have to be skilled and drive on the left hand side. we have lots of sloping land , estates, housing areas that are so unique, different from anywhere else in the world,. most houses are built to withstand any hurricane force. the water is clean and fresh, always blue and clear. Like anywhere else in the world we that are born here through centuries of family have to skillfully manage our economics in order to survive. you will see men in the city of Hamilton wearing shorts and it has been making a comeback with the millennial workers lately.there are vehicles for rent here so that you can visit places like the ole towne of st georges where there is a lot of history as well as the opposite of the island which offers a great history. there are many cruise ships that come here so tourist visit the beaches a lot
