First time I see Hirata outwrestled. Jihin was also better standing, landing more shots. She deserves this W. Hirata admitted she lost, she'll get stronger.
One of those fights where you have to wait for the judges decision, but I thought it was Radzuan also. What a performance by both fighters tho, great fight!
Hirata needs needs better conditioning and she looks a little thicker than I've seen her before. She's getting older and might have a problem making her weight. She was exposed a little as well. She's just a wrestler at this point. Needs a better ground game and boxing.
@@zenzen7136 and she should stay away from that Headlock. Judokas use it in MMA and it failed more then that it helped. For example Hirata and Shevchenko.
This was a good split decision. Solid fight, well matched. Hirata was just out-controlled and didn't land as many scoring shots. Can't wait for the rematch. Jihin had an answer for everything Hirata attempted.
Proud of you Jihin. plenty of improvement shown. fighting like seasoned fighter at the age of 23 is incredible. absolute out strength Hirata who is very strong herself. you got all the tools to be the best, just need more sharpness. maybe train in america. learn in elite's environment. nobody would be able to stop you. the Malaysian is coming.! 🇲🇾
Hirata isnt that good. I dont understand why you think she can't lose. Her striking is terrible, has no confidence in the stand up, very weak wrestling and BJJ. She relies WAY too much, like most bad women MMA fighter, on the Judo hip throw variation. There is a reason why men rarely goes for it because you risk giving up your back. Jihun demonstrated beautifully in this fight how to counter that and took Hirata back 3 times in this fight when Hirata got the Judo throw. It is a technique that is suppose to be used as a complete surprise because it is risky and can be defended very easily. Regarding her wrestling, it was not good. Every single take down attempt failed because she shot from too far with zero knowledge of set up or the speed to do it from that distance. Left with no option, she just went to Judo Throw. On the Judo throw that did work, Jihun out scrambled her and got back to feet and Hirata even risk getting knee bar and arm bar near the end showing her lack of knowledge in BJJ. What about her is actually good? I know she is young and can improve but from what I see, she doesn't have ANYTHING special. Honestly, Jihun looks WAY better and shows more potential considering they both are similar age.
I really loved this fight...Jihin was awesome and I loved seeing Itsuki battle with someone that could give her a challenge...you can't learn to be a better fighter unless you fight with someone that can beat you
This fight was brilliant!!! Two beautiful women, both strong, skilled and gave an exciting fight! No complaints! Congrats to SHADOW CAT! I hope she comes out with a MARVEL movie! 😁👍
I want a rematch bruh.. this could have gone to anyone, lucky for Jihin it went to her.. split decision was good call for a pretty evenly matched fighters..
Itsuki looked a little flat, like she didn’t have drive or spirit, but she didn’t look horrible. It’s not like the other shorty outclassed her. It would be cool to see them run it back. Shouts out to both of them 🦂🩸
Exactly my thought. She wasn’t thinking, she got frustrated, and didn’t change her tactics. She got stuck in her own head. She might consider new coaches.
Bad decision, Hirata was the only one showing any aggression the first 2 rounds. Jihin just tried to survive. This was an obvious win for Hirata. Sad to see such poor decision making from the judges.
Terbaik jihin 😍 malaysia is proud🇲🇾. Itsuki hirata needs to add more skills to her skillset because all her fights she uses the same judo moves. She needs to focus on training and less on Instagram and tiktok.
Itsuki Hirata is an awesome fighter and full of fighting spirit. Not to take anything away from Radzuan, but in this fight, Itsuki seemed out of it; she lacked spirit and drive.
When the fight started I thought, "Does Itsuki look kind of tired?" Hmm, didn't get the first take down, got a knee to the head - and yes - still "kinda tired" in round two. Good fighting ladies and congrats to the KAT.
She couldnt do anything because that kind of throw exposes your back. The minute you let go of the head, you will get your back taken. It is a shitty technique and why most men rarely goes for it Jihin had a brain, unlike most women MMA, and the minute Hirata goes for it the throw Jihin already in position to take back. She won't go far if she keep relying on this move
Jihin was ineffective offensively. She defended Itsuki well, but that should not win a decision. A good lesson to Itsuki to not leave it to there's judges. Itsuki had better strikes and takedowns and I agree with the desenting judge. Itsuki is a better athlete and they need a rematch to settle this.
Excellent fight by Jihin she won by will power and strategy - again. She might never be as exhilarating as Lee or Stamp to watch but the job got done. Shades of Ayaka Zombie in this defeat for Itsuki, unable to get past the take down defence and being left looking too one dimensional, that's twice now though she won in the GP. A number of fighters have come back from their enforced layoff without the same fire in their bellies and Itsuki, for me, is one of them, Dangkongfah is another that comes to mind. Stamp's meteoric rise through the ranks is fuelled both by her drive and her willingness to work very hard at rounding out her game - Itsuki and Ayaka should pay attention. Congratulations to Jihin she has the right to feel let down over the GP roster.
i disagree that Jihin isnt exhilarating to watch! its incredibly impressive how well she defends takedowns and turns every ground situation into her own, regardless of the danger she is in. The strategies she utilizes are unique. She's one for the future!
@@d0meh1t Totally agree she's impressive she's managed to make two very good fighters look ordinary in her last two bouts - she was made to look pretty ordinary a couple of times in the bouts before that. Let's see if she can make me eat my words and wow me in her next match.
Jihin physical is very Strong landing skill is not good .her bjj is strong but boxing and muay thai need to improve .proud to be one of member of ultimate MMA. Meow u are outstanding shadowcat
Can't say I agree, there really wasn't a winner. Jihin did not get more takedowns and like Hirata had no success (despite the small control time). Unfortunately, analyst's and commentators tend to consider underdogs as winning if they aren't loosing, this was apparent here Judges should not be pressured into choosing a winner, this is a good case for a draw and have a rematch further into their careers.
I remember watching this fight, I admittedly predicted Hirata would dominate. Eventhough as Malaysian and Jihin's fan, I actually also a fan Hirata and her style. I was actually surprised and proud of Jihin in this fight. Sure, striking mastery would be perfect for Jihin, but if she want to focus on grappling, I think learning various takedown like judo would be advantageous for her.
@@codextreme932 she couldn't do anything wit Hirata. Compare this to other fights of Razuan's where she feigns some semblance of dominance. In the fight against Itsuki, she was just pretending to be a blanket.
The "Shadowcat" did everything to win this fight easily in my opinion. She outwitted a tough fighter, frustrated 🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴 a tough fighter, turn the tables on a tough fighter and introduced a lost to a tough fighter.
Jihin is coming more and more progressive moves she learn so much of judo ..... congratulations jihin proud of you .... And congratulations also to my idol Itsuki Hirata ..better luck next Time...
@@FraZzJ you probably only watched the fights and not the prefight interviews lol, she said she can beat ritu and angela lee, and that she should be fighting angela lee that night. she was so cocky tjat she ignored jihin as a legitimate threat. Lol
Fighters need to learn to take things hand to hand when grappling isn't working. Made no sense to be trying to exact same thing for 3 rounds. A lot of the female fighters do this, need some variety and unique tricks to their skillsets.
Anyone can lose on any given night to almost any fighter. Folks saying the Hirata was "exposed" are sounding pretty silly. How was she exposed when the win was a narrow split decision? Hirata is just 22, not 42. She's strong, quick and has skills. She's also (thus far) shown a pretty good jaw. With the right guidance, she can go far. She's also a very pretty lady, which makes her ultra marketable and this is a business as well as a sport.
Terbaik jihin,,taktik full pressing dapat hold lawan, position dan takedown defend dari jihin nampak makin padu dan solid...apa2 pon tahniah kucing....harap dpt kekalkan perestasi mcm ni untuk next match...
Does hirata have something against punching? seems like she could punch a whole lot more than she did and it doesnt look like she lacks any upper body strength
The "throat cut" gesture by Jihin was completely unwarranted. Just a couple of exchanges the other way to convince a second judge and it would have been Hirata getting her hand raised. Congrats to both, it was everything I expected, great fight!
