www.AskJai.com With iTunes installed on Windows 10 it doesn't detect your iPhone/iPad/iPod. This video shows how to resolve the issue. It is a known issue with iTunes on Windows 10 and the solution is taken from Apple community forums.
Thank you so much man! I was getting so frustrated because I'm about to leave on a road trip and needed to get my music onto my iPad (because who doesn't need driving music?) You saved me the hassle of having to sort through local radio stations to find ones I like while travelling across the country. You rock, my dude!
Hi, Ive follow your steps accordingly till part 1:32 where they've showed me the exact thing, I continue till the end however my phone sign has still not shown on my Itunes... So what should I do next?
Thank you! This was far more helpful than Apple Support. I appreciate the full walk-through, and my problem was fixed in under 5 minutes! I was worried my 10-year old iPod was finally going to the great Apple store in the sky, but it lives another day :)
Ahhh! Thanks so much! This worked for me over a year later from your post when my iPhone 7 Plus had the same problem. Lucky I listened through the whole thing before starting as you put the first step at the very end - "Be sure to close iTunes before you start." Thanks again - I was getting so frustrated when my computer continued to ignore my phone.
If you can’t find the apple folder, I found that uninstalling the driver, the USB one that has the yellow triangle, and then running troubleshooting, your issue may be fixed. It worked for me.
+AskJaiCom thank you sir, been storing up so much new music over a long time now. it was almost depressing not being able to import it to my phone! you sir are a life saver!
Thanks I don’t know why my computer stop recognizing my iPhone even though I updated to the latest and still didn’t show my phone I just followed your video and it works Thanks man
*_NOTE: Close iTunes BEFORE doing this. He says that near the END of the video, which is not good when you're doing things along with him in the video._*
hey dude ...according to the video at the end you didn't get the thing which you wanted and you got some option.....even i got the same option !!!!!!! what should i do now ????? can help me dude ??
12.0.4 doesn't work with your method it Windows gives a message" The folder doesn't contain a compatible software driver for your device. Fi the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with Windows for x64-based systems. I checked the x86 folder and there is no drivers in that folder. Any other suggestions.
Worked like a charm for me right after installing iTunes 12.7.2 and my iPod wouldn't show up in iTunes no matter how many times i restarted both devices and using different cables. Thanks!
Dude.. I was waiting on the phone to talk with someone at apple while watching your video and I did what you showed.. I hung up because it worked. You saved my life, thanks!
hey, i also didnt have the Mobile Device Support folder. But after some struggle, i found in my Program Files an iPod folder which had drivers. Right-clicked the usbaapl64.inf > install. Then restarted the computer and itunes recognized my ipod again. hope it helps
I have also did the same thing. There is an Ipod folder in program files , get the driver from there. But take note that you have to restart the PC before it can work.
Man i have a problem... It shows me the same think that show to you, - The folder you specified does't contain compatible software driver for your device..and blah blah- at 1:32. What do i have to do??
PERFECT! This worked like a charm. Lost my driver after doing the recent updates to Itunes and iPhone 6s Plus. Tore my hair out all day until I saw this!!! Well done!!!
I have done the same process but when I found the driver and click on OK button the following Pop Up msg occur " the folder you specified does not contain a compatible software driver for your device. if the folder contains a driver make sure it is designed to work with a windows for X-64 based system" pls help me in this
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I have been trying to get my phone synced to my iTunes on my laptop for days. I finally decided to search RU-vid for helpful videos when I came across your video. It worked! I really appreciate folks like you. 🤗 Thanks again.
Yes, thank you so much, this worked! I tried to automatically update the drivers, but I kept getting the same error messages over and over. This manual way of doing it solved the problem immediately. Perfect!
Thank you SO MUCH for posting this very helpful video! I was able to fix this issue with your very clear instructions. So nice of you to share this information.
WOW!!! I've been looking for a solution to fix this problem for many months now. I finally resolved it with your easy to follow tutorial.....thank you sooooo much!!!
Thanks, after I updated iTunes my phone wasn't showing up. Your video was the newest, so I assumed it might have a solution to this new problem for me and it worked perfectly! Thanks for the help
when I plug it in I get: Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed). When the iPod boots up I get into the OS with a battery in the top right, and a thing telling me to connect to iTunes. It worked until I factory restored it using the iPod's settings app.
1:32 If you get the "compatibility" error message, try canceling the driver update, right click on the apple device, and choose uninstall. Unplug your device and plug it back it. It should reinstall and now be found by iTunes, etc.
Thank You! Your instructions worked like a charm. I was struggling since I updated iTunes a few weeks ago. Was about to chuck my iPhone 7. Thank you again.
I don't know why, but I had very little confidence this would work. Usually google results in youtube videos are for issues I'm not specifically dealing with. This video helped tremendously! Worked like a charm. Thank you so much!
Yes, my man. This worked in 2017 with iPhone 7. Thanks for your help. PS: when you get to the drivers folder, you can't open it, but it will still work.
hey bro, I guess I am one step further into trouble, once I do common files step, I don't have an apple section showing up? can you help me further I guess?
Thank you VERY much. Apple support was of no help whatsoever, but you solution worked perfectly. I updated the drivers and iTunes now recognizes my devices.
