11:05, Inspector Matt Twist is now an Assistant Commissioner so he's risen in the ranks indeed... Thanks for posting this btw, I remember seeing this show years ago but I thought I misremembered and that he wasn't actually in an episode until I saw this
He was a Superintendent in Surrey Police for a short while I believe as well, he's been round the block and surely knows his stuff when it comes to policing
@@DaveB-gm9pj Reminds me of Mohammed Yakub up north who armed policed assasinated and then closed the slip road for 10 hours and then claimed there was a weapon in the car. And conveniently their body cams are always off. same with Chris Kabbah. Quite rightly nobody should trust this division.
Thank god for them and the men and women who have followed in their steps, and now fight an even greater and deadlier foe as the gangs have spread their tentacles. And doctors are on strike for more money while these guys are paid a pittance! And now they have the scourge of Islamist terrorists to deal with on top of everything else. We all owe them a debt of gratitude for putting their lives on the line for us everyday. God bless them all ❤
No Not God Bless Them All There Are Lots Of Corrupt Souless Monsters Working In And For The Police Force Who Are Egotistical And Corrupt To The Core These Sort Of Souless Egotistical Police Officers Are An Embarresment To Us Who Are Father Jesus's Good Sons And Or Us Who Are Father Jesus's Good Daughters Who Walk And Or Walked Gods Earthly World And Gods Earthly Realm. These Same Souless Egotistical Police Officers Are Also An Embarresment To Every Good Brother And Or Every Good Sister Police Officer Who Risk Their Earthly Lifes And Who Actually Do A Fair Days Work Every Day.
Hiya mate, have you got the other episode? I remember this when it first aired on ITV, I paid £40 for the DVDs that was 10 years ago, I wish I still had them in working order.
We cannot be expected to love the corrupt ones. I was warned by two members of Hampshire Constabulary to not report unquestionable child abuse. After this, I will never trust the Police with anything else.
Not sure if this policeman could have been in the army when internment was in place in Northern Ireland. Internment was from 1971 to 1975. If he was 18 in 1975 he would now be in his 60s?
If he was born in 1959 & joined as a boy soldier at 16 he might have been around during the internment-era & he would have been 48,when this documentary was made. You could join the army as a 16 year old.
I'm amazed that the police don't understand, why they are disliked so much, they need to look at their own behaviour and how they speak to people, and I'm not speaking of bad criminals with knifes, I'm talking about the everyday people who get stopped in the street or in their cars. My view is I will speak to them exactly how they speak to me, so if I got stopped, their first words to me would dictate how the conversation went.....arrogant and cocky gets arrogant and cocky, polite gets polite
1- they are not complaining about how people speak to them. 2- most of them are polite if your polite first 3-give them the benefit of the doubt, you might be sinical if you were dealing with violent criminals and idiots all day. These guys are literally going after armed nutters all day not nice people like You . 4- they are not customer service assistants, it’s not Costa or Argos, don’t expect 5 star hospitality.
I get pulled over because they can smell cannabis or look like someone who's wanted😢their loophole.even when they do checks n realise I've not been in trouble for 20 yrs(minor offence)...there's nothing on their part but disappointment they didn't get a collar. 95 percent of police in my area to are a disgrace
Whosaid anything about cars? And grow up! Okay dokey Mr deluded entitled,I live inner city suite hole n police do what I said as standard..you clearly don't live similar n experienced similar situations.you probably believe that police call members of public sir,and would never be remotely unprofessional never mind stop n search violations.a dose of reality is what you need, you clearly ain't got a clue of what I'm talking about. #deluded idealist
Glad i found this. I'm really enjoying it. I have to say the narrator sounds a bit like the late great Ronnie Corbett!! Thanks for posting really appreciate it.
It was on after midnight every night, not many people watched it. I only got into because I used to work until late and could never go straight to sleep, oh and I used to have junkies living downstairs who never kept normal hours so I used to watch night watch, to try keep some sanity and not do them any serious harm, lol thankfully they got nicked but I used to quite enjoy it! I was quite upset when they replaced it with Jeremy Fewking Vile
Not so sure about that. When this was filmed (2007), London had a murder rate of 2.1 per 100 thousand. In 2021, the murder rate was 1.4. Even my city (Melbourne, Australia) has a murder rate of 2.8, and we don't have much of a street gang culture at all. London can't be too bad.
my late father was born in Preston, Lancashire but moved south and joined the Metropolitan Police in London. although he became a detective and eventually we moved to Liverpool and he became special branch, he had hidden secrets of trips to Northern Ireland on ships from liverpool just listening and observing during the troubles. but going back to the MET his biggest claim to fame or non-fame was near hampstead Heath as a young Bobby when he heard what he thought was a car back firing. DUH. turned out it was Ruth Ellis Killing her boyfriend. she was the last woman hanged in this country for this crime. where were you Dad ? you could have been famous!
100% I don't know how the Police have the nerve to blow their whistle!!! Misogynistic, racist, overpaid and protected. Like most other institutions in Britain. Just bent coppers looking after other bent coppers.
they won't find the guns when their hidden in "HIDES" ... a secret hidden space in the car what has a certain way of accessing it, electronic lock etc or combination buttons. police are thick and they got NOOOOO CHANCE THESE DAYS.
Our atmosphere isn’t going to be great is it even at 1-0 up we was all scared to Death As this was our last chance of staying up our chairman is killing our club very slowly but I would have thought that Birmingham City fans would have understood our situation at Hillsborough Stadium this isn’t a 10 year thing we have been trying to get rid of this chairman Chansiri for last decades its been horrible mate but I do respect Birmingham City fans but I do respect the Sheffield Wednesday fans over 25 years since relegation from the Premier League & 3 times in league one but we still averaged over 26k fans last season in league one last season with the Most Expensive tickets prices in our league & it’s still the same this season at Hillsborough stadium that’s why we need this chairman out he’s a nightmare Best of luck for rest of the season Birmingham City 👏👏
