Here’s what I know about this new group - *Chaeryeong (the girl with that multicolor dog)* she’s born in 2001 and also rapper, dancer and vocalist she’s iz*one chaeyeon’s sister. - *Yeji (girl with the buns, white top with spikes)* she’s born in 2000 she’s the leader & main dancer and lead rapper n vocalist - *Lia (the one at the airport with bags behind her)* she’s born in 2000 she’s the main vocalist and also the visuals, she used to live in Canada so she speaks English - *Ryujin (the first girl who spoke in the mv)* she’s born in 2001 she’s the main rapper and main dancer and the center. - *Yuna(the one on the stairs)* she’s born in 2003 she’s the maknae, and lead dancer n vocalist she’s also visual with Lia. Two members also was in BTS Love yourself Highlight Reel. *Chaeryeong* was a contestant on JYP’s sixteen and ranked 12 *Yeji* appeared in stray kids survival show *Ryujin* also appeared in stray kids survival show and she was a contestant in Mixnine and ranked 1st

I'm really feeling this song and this group. They remind me of 2NE1 (don't attack me yet) I mean that in the best and most positive way. 2NE1 was my first K-pop love because their energy and authentic group vibe was so engaging; I'm getting that same feeling from ITZY right now. I am not, repeat, am NOT comparing their sound or look to 2NE1. I watched ITZY's live stage and they had wonderful presence, they make me excited to see more.

Actually I'm so glad to hear you say that! The criticism I've heard from folks is that it's not girl crush ENOUGH. I'm really getting sick of the term girl crush (it's getting murky as to what it means even) and some people's obsession with only wanting girl groups to be that. Girl groups are so boxed in by fans when they consider you can only be three things: cute, sexy, or girl crush.

Thanks for the shoutout guys 😆 I really hope you get a lot of new subscribers from putting this up so fast. "Dalla" means different. This is their debut & they're all between the ages of 15-18. Bang Bang Boomerang (Beary) and his intro in the beginning was so cute ☺ I know you were just being funny but if you wanna see some more black guys in a video check out EXID "Hot Pink" 😄 (really just check out "Hot Pink" cause it's all around awesome)

Based on their debut, I actually am really looking forward to more by them. Not here, but many people on social media were saying the song and video was a mess but they must be haters, because I saw nothing wrong with this debut. Can’t wait for more!! @@monimuppet6132 You don't need to call everyone haters just because it doesn't fit their tastes. Objectively the song IS a mess in terms of switching genre and concepts all over the place. That doesn't mean it is objectively bad, it just means a lot of people wont like it but the ones that do will love it. For an example I really like the verses but don't think the chorus fit that mood at all, so I get in a certain mood from the verses only to get attacked by a suddenly really happy chorus makes me just confused instead of feeling the song. And the ones that likes the chorus will have a harder time with the verses. Same with the lyrics kinda make me cringe with how extremely common/"look at me I'm a hipster" vibe, liked it more before I read the lyrics which really shouldn't happen. I look forward to their next releases though since I know the girls are talented, just that this song wasn't for me.

@@Mrsuperdestroyer The song doesn't switch genres, just beats. People don't know the difference most of the time and it drives me nuts. It's a pop song the whole way through. The beat switches all relate to each other. I say "haters" because to call the song a mess just because you enjoy more repetitive, formulaic melodies is a stretch. I have nothing to charge regarding my comment. Get a broader music vocabulary so you can stop confusing different beats for actual genre changes.

@@monimuppet6132 Lol if you can't even handle talking about the song without going into insults you got no argument. Like it goes from super happy chorus to suddenly half twerking to suddenly trap beats. That is a genre change. I said it also switches concepts completely which throws it all off. The mood is completely different which makes it hard to listen to for a lot of people. I enjoy songs basically across the board, classical influence being the biggest one. Acting like you are high and mighty hipster who appreciate "real music" will just turn people off from the group. From how the fan base is forming I can see in the future that it will be extremely toxic because of what kind of people gets attracted to their debut.

I'm still waiting for your reactions to KARD! Come on bros they're the only co-ed group in Kpop! "Don't Recall" has 50+ million views. It's a good introduction to their style (a mix of latin/caribbean and Kpop). They're great! I love your reactions! As for itzy I didn't like the song. I was expecting this to be JYP's answer to BLACKPINK (from YG) with a more mature style. As we can see they're like Twice 2.0 (their co-label group that $ellS a lot in Asia and makes JYP rich). Not so cute as Twice but they have more hip hop elements. The song is a mess (shame on you JYP and producers). I like the girls though. They're very young so I can understand why the company chose this style. They can go for a more mature concept on their next releases. I saw the videos of the girls as trainees and they're very talented. I'm sure they will do well :)

They won't be a more "mature style" from them yet, they're all still kids the oldest is 2000 liner while the youngest 2003, I think whatever messy concert is for them it suit them the best for now probably we can see more of other style like MISS A once they get older in the future

The MV was messy. But the audio and stage performance is ON ANOTHER LEVEL! It’s just the messy MV that makes us feel let down. But the actual song is catchy and Korea LOVES IT! ITZY beat every girl group rookie debut record. JYP made ITZY to answer BP and yg and succeeded as their song Dalla Dalla had more success then boombayah and whistle (even tho boombayah is gaining popularity again due to coachella) but when speaking debut wise, ITZY was successful and JYP succeeded in answering to YG and BP. Yeji and Yuna And Ryujin all hold reallllly popular fancams of 2019 Yeji being in no,12 most viewed fan cam of 2019, over taking a lot of BlackPink, Twice and even BTS fancams. Same with Yuna who’s are no.15. Dalla Dalla debut stage is at 11M after 5montha Boombayah debut stage after 3;years is only at 4M... Plus ITZY Stage Presence after debut compared to bp is on a different level. Only Lisa and Jennie had a decent stage presence... every member in ITZY stands out and all hit you with that Dalla Dalla.

I have mixed feelings on it- liked some parts of it, especially the chorus and the video is really visually dynamic. I think the message of love yourself feels like the influence of BTS in music right now since that has been their message for some time even when they did their speech at the UN. Would love to see your reaction to some more of the older girl groups like Brown Eyed Girls Kill Bill and Abracadabra 2NE1 Missing You Girls Generation Lionheart Wonder Girls Why So Lonely Secret Poison AOA Like A Cat

They sound like 2ne1 and the old generation of girl groups. And that's why I love it! As a kpop fan with thirteen years being a fan, I feel like we need to bring back the old school of kpop and that good things. I love new groups, I'm a fan of many of them, but I miss old times of kpop, that golden era of kpop.
