IU uses a hand mic here which i always prefer over the headset mic that most idols use nowadays. It’s so rare to see idols use hand mic nowadays… when u spot one, you know it’s truly live. Just like 2nd gen era. Most idols nowadays just prerecord the vocals and lipsync to it, it’s quite disappointing tbh.

@@_nicholasss As a singer, I can assure you that it is not only really hard to hold a proper note, hold the proper emotion and dance at the same time. Plus, it is extremely exhausting. Singing is all about breathing. You could pass out! So please, just let them lipsync if you expect them to dance too.

@@_nicholasss Bang Chan (leader of SKZ) explained why idols need prerecorded vocals. It's because some idols have really busy schedules and some of them may include variety shows where they have to talk a lot so by the time they have to record their performances, they haven't had the chance to rest their voice and in some cases they might even lose their voice since they have talked so much throughout the day. It's also a bit unreasonable to hold every idol to the expectation that they should be able to dance and sing at the same time in every single performance. I'm pretty sure majority of fans couldn't do that without losing their breath 30 seconds into the performance. I know I can't do them at the same time.

@@_nicholasss that’s my point. Stans of big3 companies say stuff like our idols have had dances and so they don’t sing live but they can . Well I Stan many groups from the big 3 but I have to say groups like mamamoo,btob etc are extremely stable and still don’t have hard dances even if they can manage it cause they don’t wanna lipstick for even a moment. If ur idols can’t sing and dance at the same time maybe give them an easy dance or a song that isn’t very voclally straining. But there are many groups who have just started to use headset mics and are not comfortable with them but still sing live
