IU's schedules are so fully packed that time (between drama filming, commercial photoshoot, and album prep), and this recording was already delayed before, so it cant be delayed again. Also one thing abt her recording: their team always try to capture those "iu raw vocal" moment, so her vocal recording can be quick and rather simple.

That recording was painful to watch. My throat hurts just thinking about it. Yes, this is the recording for the "final mix". The MV was already done under a crazy schedule and the release date at this point was set. The marketing as well as contracts for example with music shows or distributors where in place. Its hard to delay the release at this point. So IU wanted to get it done no matter what. EDAM Entertainment was founded in 2020 by Bae Jong Han, who was IU's manager for twelve years at this point. The whole company is basically build for and around IU. She took her whole team with her into the company and is their only artist (the two small exceptions are WOODZ, who currently is in the military service and Shin Se Kyung who is mainly an actress). So I imagine IU feels responsible for the well being of the company and their employees.

Thanks so much for your reaction. The queen fairy can do it all, I was so worried when I saw this the first time, but timing and compromises forced her into that schedule. It all started when filming the video it was cold and miserable and she already was having a tough time, but the director she wanted for the MV was too busy to re-schedule. She had 12 ads shoot in December, filmed the other MVs and the other recordings of the album, including colab with Hyen and all along filming the new drama. So for us mortals it's easy to say postpone it, But IU schedule is so heavy remember she's producing it too. Finally, the little kid at the end is a campaign she started years ago in her "IU TV" videos it ends every one with a missing kid notice, this was her own imitative and is so Lee Ji-eun she is an Angel. I would tell you everything she does to give back but it would be too long.

About the missing children: IU's been sharing missing children information and helping their families almost since the start of her career, every video of her channel except the MVs has a missing persons' profile featured. SK's police even recognizes her as an honorary police officer because of that (she's also recognized for her anti bulliyng campaigns)

The message regarding missing children is at the end of all of her videos, as far as I'm aware. At least as far back as I've watched, which is years back, so I would imagine they've been there pretty much since the beginning of her channel.
