I'm just so confused about the ending....Guess I have a very low IQ or something lol.

I think the frames might mean two different things. One meaning that Ivan has solved the maze and now he needs to decide who he wants to be by choosing the fitting frame. But what I really think is that when he turns and smiles he is facing the crowd he was trying so hard to avoid. Maybe the crowd is like his fans/listeners who are also lost but gather around in these music videos. The crowd has already been on the center of the maze and are trying to get out of the maze and leaving their personal frames in the middle that some thing like other people's expectations have placed the crowd in there. Ivan might be walking this maze backwards which explains the "I feel like you need to be lost to see light". That is why he is going inside the maze towards the center even though he could be in a good place in life. Ivan needs his space but he is glad we are there for him and smiles for us on the end cause we look up to him and need his help now to find our way back.

I think by needing space and pushing people away or running away from them he had nothing in the end. Reason being is that we put pictures up in our house of people that we have memories of. So the whole time he had space he missed chances to make memories with those potential people
