Good video but Reinbacher was the right pick, a shut down Right shot D that can skate, pass and score are worth their weight in gold , with his size and mobility o love the pick if he secures a top 4 spot it may be one of the best picks they have made
@JamesMillerHockey
@JamesMillerHockey 3 месяца назад
@@vdac1068 interesting take, as for me I seem to be back and forth on him. I still think he could even become a solid top pairing guy (as long as if he has the right partner, Hutson) however I’m a firm believer that Dmitri Simashev (also a RHD) will be better and he was selected right after. Not to mention Michkov, Leonard, and Benson. That’s a big factor for me. It was a pick based off of a positional need and it was risky then and it still looks somewhat risky. Loved his recent stint in the AHL though, that was a good positive sign!
@rgood1204
@rgood1204 2 месяца назад
A reach for need instead of the best player available which clearly was Michkov (THN has him as the #1 prospect outside the NHL based on survey of the teams). Oh I just remembered, he isn't staying in Russia for the full 3 years.

@@JaceMandel yeah it’s unfortunate to see another young player make a decision like this, but with that being said the Habs should absolutely try and make it happen. Rutger is gonna be a beast and would fit perfectly with the Habs timeline. I’d try and start with offering Kirby Dach for him.

LOL, u did it, u said something bad about the golden boy! lol, Habs fans, MOST Habs fans think Caufield had an amazing year, with 28 goals, those r the same fans at the start of the year who were saying that he was gonna score 50 goals! lol. Caufield's season was under-whelming in my eyes too, but that's what he is going to be, a low 30 goal guy, which is awesome at $8M, especially for a team who can't put the puck in the net. But Habs fans always think their players are going to be better. Like Reinbacher, NO ONE wanted to draft him, everyone wanted Michkov, or Ryan Leonard, and then the kid got some hate mail from a few idiots, and all of a sudden reinbacher was Habs fans lost sad puppy, and how dare u say he wasn't the right draft pick? lol, he scored 1 goal a season for the last couple years, in a league that isn't near as hard as the NHL, but Habs fans think he is going to go to Montreal and put up 15 -20 goals, and some say he's not an offensive defenseman, alright, but one goal a year, that's NO offense. If u play 82 games, and cant get a puck to go in off ur ass once a year... The team didnt need reinbacher, and still dont, their D was fine, in fact they still have too many D, they better package a couple up in a deal for a goal scorer, but u never know, this team loves their defense, trust me, ive been a Habs fan for 45 years! It's ALWAYS been either D or goaltending first, then they build their offense with what's left, that's been working great... lol. Montreal needs to focus on getting some goal scorers, and dont wait til Demidov gets here, lets have Demidov come to an already fairly competitive team, so it's not ALL on his shoulders, that's a lot for a kid, no matter how mature, Montreal is a pressure cooker, when u arent playing well, they are gonna let u know, everywhere u go! lol. I have lots of faith in Demidov tho, he's definitely who i wanted to draft this year, imagine if we had Michkov, AND Demidov, or Ryan leonard with Demidov, Leonard to open up some space for Demidov... or Demidov, and Michkov with Suzuki, Caufield, and Hutson on the pp!!! That is something to get excited for. They NEED offense, that's it. I want to start competing, i dont mean i want to win the cup, but id like to make a push for a wild card spot, or at least be reasonably close. I am tired of being bottom 5 in scoring, EVERY year.

@@toddlauretteHabsforlife this comment is pretty dang epic 😂 I was warned that if I was going to make a Hab video I would receive criticism, and surely this is my first video where I’ve gotten a good amount haha. I’m with you big time. Montreal should’ve drafted Michkov or Leonard. That would’ve been amazing. I’m still a firm believer that Montreal has some good things going on, but is it all perfect? Not at all. I thought it was fair what I said about Caufield and Reinbacher. You seem like a passionate fan and I hope you get to see your team succeed soon!
