this goes to show no matter how pretty or bad-looking you are, everyone’s going to have insecurities at the end of it so people should start to get confident day by day with their looks because that’s what true beauty is.
Yes! Not everyone likes the same thing. Some people prefer looking a different way from how they look. You know how when you don’t have something, you want the things you don’t have 🤷♀️
It's not easy to become confident when you're in an environment where you're constantly judge. Not just entertainment industry, for example if you're a child in a home where your parents prefer your sibling, they only praised and paid attention to them, you'll have this thought that something is wrong with you. It's easy to tell ppl be confident, but what we really need to fix is, the society.
I thought the *exact same* thing. I’m sure many did. I hear often from people considered not “objectively” attractive (not my opinion!) who don’t fit the harsh beauty standards of their culture or feel as if they don’t that people who do must feel confident. I hear that especially from larger people that they want to feel confident like thin people. It’s dismaying as it makes it seem that “attractive” people can’t have securities, & people will nevertheless say “you’re fishing for compliments” or “you shouldn’t feel like that” anyway when they express how they feel. As someone deemed beautiful & the most beautiful at my schools throughout my life but have always struggled with body dysmorphia & eating disorders, I’ve heard it all & it never helps. We all have insecurities & should never demean each other! 🤍

She’s gonna be so grateful later on in life because as we age we lose some of the fat in our face, her having a baby-ish face now, with fuller cheeks will keep her youthful apperance longer.
I have the same insecurity as her bcs i have a lot of baby fat on my face and i dont perceive it that way. As we age our face will become droopy. Because my face is more chubby even if my body is skinny, the skin will probably get stretched and droop down as i lose baby fat on my face. I'm okay with that because aging is a gift many dont have the opportunity to receive, but i still think skinny face is better than chubbier face.
Wonyoung would look way better with slimmer jaw. I feel like Wonyoung can possibly look like Sullyoon if Wonyoung gets buccal fat removal and Sullyoon is really pretty and fits the korean beauty standards very well.
I personally think chubby cheeks are very cute! Even if someone is considered pretty or attractive, they can still have insecurities. Wonyoung is beautiful no matter what
yall she said she doesn't hate them and never said she felt insecure, she just avoids looking too swollen (e.g eating less salty foods the night before) because she knows she has naturally round cheeks....they're 2 different things
Girl I think you missed the mark. She said she doesn’t like her chubby cheeks and said right after she appreciated them. That’s because she doesn’t want to be rude in case she has fans with chubby cheeks too and she’s an idol she has to be careful for everything she says. Also people with chubby cheeks can easily more swollen at times.

when this video first started playing and i saw the first clip, my first thought was "aww i miss wonyoung's chubby cheeks." so it makes me really sad to hear her say she doesn't like that. i think they add such a cute and pretty charm to her
this is so sad honestly. ppl are so conditioned into the beauty standard that they even notice small details about their appearance that aren't even remotely ugly but they still get insecure about it anyway(me included).
That’s something someone with an ED would say. There’s a lot of girls I’ve worked with who are stick skinny but obsessed with their faces looking small and hate their cheeks. So they starve more and more to make their cheeks go down but don’t realize how scarily thin their bodies have become. Esp as they are young it’s normal to have cheeks she only just turned 18. Her cheeks will naturally become more hollow as she ages. Sadly if you starve yourself that young you are prone to so many health problems in your late 20s and 30s, and your body will look old and aged faster due to lack of cheeks which is actually a sign of youth, and why she’s regarded as so pretty because of her youthful visuals. Koreans are always opposite on what they want

Even in Korea when she was at the airport in a skirt the whole of naver was freaking out and telling her to take care of her health. She was scary then during love dive era. It's weird to me how someone like her would feel insecure abt something. I am overweight but if i talk abt insecurities, nothing comes to mind quickly. I have to think of one deeply. And i would of course state something that is obvious to them like my weight. It sometimes makes me feel like a narcissist but there's nothing wrong with liking everything abt me right?. It's not good to be too chubby. If that is the case, you should consider getting a procedure if you want to be pretty. Only a few people can fully pull chubby cheaks off like rosé.

Well there you have it. If she gains weight, it's going to show in her face meaning she has to remain very small to maintain this current look she has. People dont consider this when they claim she doesn't have an eating issue.

It's probably hard for her. If she wants to avoid her cheeks getting larger, she cannot gain weight. Most idols that are underweight face the same problem, they sacrifice their body so that their face looks like they want it to look. It's a shame...

I mean it's just not something one can have just by losing weight. Fun fact a person dieing in flames(if they had plastic surgery) thier face kind of melts off.
She literally had buccal fat removal and some jaw shaving done to reduce the appearance of her big cheeks :/ her face slimmed down drastically in less than a year and she has a completely different face shape now, her face is small. Yet she still perceives her cheeks to be bigger.

@@jiahezhang9332 absolutely, it’s just apparent to me that she had some work done in order to fix those insecurities but she’s still not happy. meaning no amount of surgery can make her love herself, it’s a form of body dysmorphia and people around her shouldn’t have encouraged her to change her face at such a young age. she was always beautiful.
