It’s crazy because I’m not biracial but I’m a black light skinned girl and I hate when these type of women make us look bad. I love my darker sisters sooo much and I think they’re so beautiful especially because my mom is dark.
Yep. I'm lighter than my parents, and the rest of my family. I have zero issues with dark skin. I think that Iman and Amara La Negra are two of the most beautiful women on the planet. I will say that I've experienced colorism the opposite way: some darker skinned people tend to be rude to me right off the bat. Smh
melsuzhen I agree it’s hard for me because people assume all light skins have one black parent and another race parent, but not me... both my parents are black so sometimes I have a hard time because people put biracial light skins and black light skins in the same category that I don’t like. My background is different and I love all colors of black people. Usually when I see the self hate it usually comes from the biracial light skinned folks more than anything because most of em are confused (NOT ALL). But I’m proud of my 4c hair, my skin, my family skin, and my ancestry.
Pisses me off too. Light as I am, my great grandmother was a gorgeous dark skinned black woman and this type of shit was never even discussed in my family. My family is black and native and we are all range of tones, all beautiful. Hate and prejudice is taught and it's disgusting. Fuck Hazel E fake ass, she just went there to be on tv, she ain't shit and she doesn't represent me
I thought the same thing !!!!! She been trying to be black like dis 🙍🏼♀️ and not like dis 🙎🏿♀️. She just mad that all them darker girls on LHH get more play than her even tho she got all that white woman surgery . She only trying to pretend she got all this trauma because her money drying up 🙄
I couldn't get over how the mom said she didnt remember the abuse....if you don't remember shit in life you are going to remember someone molested your child
deirdrasj1 I try to believe people when they say stuff like that happens because I experienced it and I was scared to say anything for that reason ....but the more they spoke and things didn't match up and her mama kept getting caught up I just rolled my eyes...why lie about something of that nature 🙄 I think this hatred started deep within her mom and hazel observed that and took it into her heart to feel that way . That story sounds made up af
I can honestly say every light skin girl ain’t fuckin cute 🙅♀️ I done seen Red, Yela & High yela girls all from DADE COUNTY, BROWARD COUNTY TO POMPANO FLORIDA, and some of them JUST THAT .. LIGHT COMPLECTED‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
Hazel is definitely not cute! Some light complexion girls thinks that's every thing. Some people don't care how ugly you're as long as you are light skinned it.
While I sympathize with Hazel E (If her story is true) I agree the show was a publicity stunt to restore Hazel's image. Her mother couldn't keep up with the lies.
Omg you are so rite that some women think they cute just bc they lite skin... then they say stupid stuff to me like... "you cute to be dark skin" hate it
Don't let anyone ever in your life again say that to you. Tell them "I'm cute period because I'm the closet thing to God, complexion don't make you automatically beautiful"...once you shut it down, they'll shut it up
Girl I have heard that your cute to be dark skin b.s. all my life but baby I get ppl who say that to all the way together..what kinda backward ads compliment is that
DWA Consulting I hate that comment so much just say I'm cute . Once I was in the store with my kids and the lady said to my cousin your kids is soo cute and I said those are my kids and the lady laugh and said that's not true they are too light that shit broke my heart that she was ignorant to the fact of genetic in science
Totally agree them fake ass tears were so transparent and there were a couple of times I thought I saw her smirking, trying not to laugh. And is it just me, or do anyone remember during her black girl rant she said my mom told me they would be jealous of me cause I'm light skinned...
YUP and I wondered why Iyanla didnt post & read that part to her MOM for planting that in her head. Her mom commented on 1 of Hazel's rants and a commentor told the mom "STFU b*tch you are the reason why she thinks this way!"...LLS
Nothing she said bothered me cause I’m comfortable in my brown skin n love it. Thing is Iyanla just wants to give them tools to fix their lives. I realize they have the celebs cause that gets people to watch but Iyanla prefers the regular people you can tell when you watch
Hazel E to me is the embodiment of “just because you have light skin or are mixed don’t make you automatically attractive”. I’ve never liked Hazel but after the episode I did feel some type of sympathy for her so I checked out her IG to see if she’s really continued the work on herself that Iyanla helped her start. Nope! Seemed like the same old her and the fact that her mother still enables her acting this way at 37 y/o while looking like a Simpson character reject is beyond me.
Been abused by 2 dudes and a female. My mother will never forget it and I will never let her forget. I told another abuse victim: “no way her mother would have forget being told that”. Also my mother will bring up and talk about everything but sexual abused kids. After All these years, she knows it’s my trigger. I call BS on Hazel and her mammy. NO MOTHER WHO CARES FOR Her CHILDREN WILL EVER FORGET THAT SHE ALLOWED THEM TO BE ABUSED ESPECIALLY SEXUALLY.
Vinae Li bless her heart even with the nose job she still does look Ernest.I feel sorry for her she wasn't raised right.Hazel E doesn't have any self esteem. The way she disrespected herself with Young Berg&begged &pleaded with him was sickening&sad.
I think Iyvana wanted to do a show about this topic and Hazel E was just relevant to the topic. When Iyvana was speaking it's like she was speaking to Black America. I felt that
Finally . I think on the first season , if y’all remember , Hazel E was very loyal to Tierra and they kind of played her . She came back in the third season trying to be bad and all that . I honestly feel like she was tired for being the but of everyone’s joke. They made fun of her looks and everything even down to her age
pauline Kelly I completely agree. even though I disagree with what she said about darker women. btw I'm dark. I believe she only did that I'm light skin pretty ploy because everyone played her like she wasn't anything.
u hella mad that’s that angry wig 😂😂😂but that reeeddd lipstick looks good. Lawd not the way u normally go up for Iyanla so glad u finally see her for her works. I’m glad u called
Thank you FD👏👏👏👏 you hit the nail on the head. I was molested at a young age by 2 dark skin women. As a child you don't have the mentality to connect that horrible experience with colorism unless someone(your mama) taught you that experience happened to you because you were light skin. I'm so pissed with this episode! Also, I wish ppl would talk abt how the bullying btwn light and dark skin women is a 2 way street.
China Gyal Girl bye! At 5 yrs old you don't have the social competence to associate race with being molested because of your skin unless someone teaches you (I speak from experience). You don't know what you are talking abt. Kids even understand the depth of racism let alone colorism unless they are taught those things. To come up with those assumptions at 5 yeah right!
It's not a two way street tho. Light skin people may sometimes get bullied for being "pretty" but dark skin women get bulled for being "ugly". Dark skin women have had "scientists" create "studies" accessing why they're the ugliest. The world has systematically tried to erase dark skin women to the point that countries all over the Caribbean islands and Africa (the same can be said for Asia too, in regards to darker Asians), bleach so much it's a multi-million dollar industry . They aren't the same or a "two way street" and to say it is, is an injustice to the erasure and mistreatment of dark skin black women. It's like saying "skinny shaming" is just as bad as fat shaming, it's literally not.
This was some Olivia pope type stuff ...her and her mama needed to spin what she said and this was the perfect opportunity. I was so 😤😂 the whole episode
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I agree with everything u said, Dineva! I couldn’t even watch the whole episode... I knew it was BS from the jump! Playing with our intelligence and couldn’t even keep their poorly-rehearsed story straight! Ughhhh!!!
I concur. But be mad @ HAZEL E. Then you can be mad that Iyanla didn't catch the hustle but was so worried about Trina pimping the show for fame. Hazel's mom was so caught off guard she couldn't keep the lies straight. If your child was molested by anyone... you THE PARENT will never forget. THE F*N END.
I've always said that having light skin doesn't automatically make you attractive. Beauty doesn't have a skin tone... and neither does ugly, quiet as its kept.
All of this!!!! I'm glad I'm not the only person who thought that sexual assault story was some bs. It was a PR attempt and ultimately, Hazel has colorism issues because of the mama and the mama helped condition her to think because she's light skinned she's entitled to all the attention from men and she's jealous of those girls on the show who get it when she doesn't...
I didn't buy any of it. Does HazelE have an image problem, low self esteem and insecurities about her looks. Absolutely, their stunt didn't prep her mother who was clueless about a serious issue with her child. HazelE attempt on damage control was an epic fail, a better platform was for her to say why she said it which is because she has a problem with her own image all that plastic surgery says it all. Thank you for your review, Excellent and on point!
I loved every minute of this video. Dineva you said so many valed things. I wish that your voice could be heard on a bigger platform. Our young girls need to hear this.
I'm on an Iyanla binge and this was in my recommendations. I'm FUXXing 💀💀💀💀 When you did the Iyanla voice and said "MOOOOOOTHA HAVE YOU EVA STOPPED TO THINK......." 😂😂😂😂😂 You a Leo ain't it 😂😂😂😂
Where Araka or however she spell her name... where she pledge AKA? What institution of higher learning did she attend? Did you say Albino Shrek?? JESUS WEPT!! I AM DEAD!!! Don’t do Shrek and Far Far Way Like Dat!!!!
I 100% AGREE !! Whenever I hear the lyrics of the top rappers like Kim, Foxy, Trina, NICKI, Cardi etc. I always wonder, WHAT do their families think of their lyrics? Yes they make cute music to bop to but I'd be damned if I was on the radio rapping about getting my ass ate. My family would judge the hell out of me! All this shit definitely has to do with the way you were raised. If your own parents cosign on that then it says a lot. And I'm not just talking about the women, the rapper dudes aren't any better talking about drugs, guns hoes etc.
Naw. I ain’t buying it either. I do believe that she learned that mess at her mama’s knee. Now, instead of owning that fact, they attack dark women again with this flimsy story. Hazel did what I’ve seen many other light skinned people do, claim superiority based on skin shade. It’s what we learned from Massa. It’s light skinned people’s responsibility to stop believing that being light protects you from being black. Dark skinned people who don’t already know that they’re NOT less, start inside your self. We’ve got to stick together y’all. Donald Trump is the damn president
People need to stop living up to the hype of Social media. Hazel wrote a check that ass cant cash. What is she trying to do or who the hell she tryna be. Either way niether one is working for her.
