Howdy Rob! Hope you are going well man :) I still have a load of that cool 70s gear but I have sold some of it since. I'm currently in the process of building a new studio area in the same late 70s /early 80s "brown and orange" era vibe. My akai reel to reel will be a very central part of it all but needs a service and a new play head first though. I will start posting up more of these kinds of videos again once it's finished as it's been about 10 years since I have posted any of these kinds of videos. Hope you and your music is going great :D

Nice studio and nice bit. CP 20 was at 1980 my first piano and his Piano 1 sound was unique. After this, I had a Technics PX44 (also with a very personal EP sound) and many others digital pianos and synthesizers, but no one had a EP sound like CP 20. I miss him! Now is very difficult find one used and ok for sale...
@diazepunkii Hi there, if you are wondering which fx were used, there was only 1 being the coron distortion 15. I will add that the elka x705 rotary speaker helped get things sounding kinda swirly.
Hey there, I have a desktop switch box not a footswitcg and I'm a bit hesitant to touch it out side if just using it but a tech wont take more than a few minutes to work it out and you'll be up and running.
Hey there, glad you like the video. The sound is really just a bit of each thing I used but I would owe most of it to the elka rotary speaker. The cp piano is good but not really great until it's put through something else. The distortion pedal is a coron distortion 15, which I really like and it seems to do something to the sound even when bypassed. The elka rotary speaker has a built in spring reverb and is just the coolest thing. While I don't regret selling the elka, I do miss it. The iPhone I recorded it on adds a cassette tape vibe to the sound top and makes it sound "old". I Thu k there is something to be said for recording direct to a phone for certain situations where texture is needed. Lastley, the style of playing kind of fits the sound and overall it kind of all comes together to create the end result.
I have the same leslie, there's only one problem. The footswitch is broken. Could you please make a photo of the inside of the footswitch, so I can see how it was and so I can re-solder it? Thanks a LOT in advance!
