You give some nice examples. At this point I am extremely skeptical of any claims made by any plugin vendor. The proof is in the real world application, and what I hear in the examples you give is some upper frequency lift, but nothing that other plugins don't give. I reckon I would get equal results by a combination of EQ and compression. It's interesting, for sure, and the price is aimed at the beginner, but I'd hope anyone starting out would learn to sculp their sound using more controllable methods. Yeah, very useful video!
