These two together, will make this a seriously big channel, love the vibe, and young Hammond is as silly and lovely as her dad,who entertained me for 20 plus yrs
I love Izzy's enthusiasm. I began wrenching on my car at the age of 20, almost clueless. I helped my dad a handful of times at least which helped me with a bit of an understanding. I did valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, diff fluid and oil change and brakes. I used to be really intimated but the more I worked on cars the more I was like, "Oh this is actually really simple." Even wiring seemed like a nightmare but watching Mighty Car Mods and other channels the last few years, I realized wiring isn't even crazy either. Just lots of diagrams. She'll get it with time.
I absolutely love Izzy. I also love seeing her learning how to do some work on her car and showing people it’s possible to do your own work and not all automotive stuff is not difficult
Let her grow a bit (not in size obviously with that family heritage :D) before you throw Top Gear at her. Also, Mike has to have a spot on that reboot, and I'm not sure they can both be on. Maybe Izzy will be revealed as the next Stig.
I can't lie as soon as you said clutch. I cried inside. Talk about throwing Izzy in the deep end. I love minis but a clutch is a f***** to do on these. Car is looking amazing tho! Huge fan!!! 🤙🤙
I took mine to a local independent garage when it need a new clutch, when I picked it up they told me they were only charging me a third of the actual labour time it took otherwise, as it was the first one they've ever done it wouldn't be fair to charge me the actual time it took them, they also said they will refuse all future clutch jobs on MINI's because it was such a pain!
@@ChuckFickens1972 they aren't easy at all. Whole front of the car has to be removed, subframe dropped and the engine and gearbox manoeuvred in such a way to get the gearbox off with hardly any room. It's the downside to how the minis are packaged. I've done a fair few and I can't say I blame them for not wanting to do them 😂
Maxwell is doing the clutch and he is going to remove the engine in the next episode (as he mentioned at the end), so it is an easier job. Clutches are a pain even for an experienced hobby wrencher, so I doubt Maxwell would get Izzy very involved. Not putting her down, but she just started and as you said, it is the deep end.
@@ConnorSimpson007 They're a BMW product, what did you expect? To replace the headlights on many BMW's, you need to take the whole front facia and bumper off. Normal cars might need a little disassembly to do this job, BMW seems to make it their mission to make maintenance as terrible as possible
She is fast becoming a natural at this presentation lark. Maxwell too is a brilliant person to get things over. Izzy is clear and easy to listen to, and im enjoying her content
Before someone asks: the interior work and roll-cage was done by Mike and another shop on a MORE DRIVETRIBE video :) But also Mini Hammond tricking out a Mini. It's a refreshing change to see Drive tribe thriving with a new generation of hosts under Richard as other big automotive channels (mainly stateside) have been down in the dumps, to be polite.
Has her father's style of presenting, relaxed and genuine. Very informative way of showing more detailed and involved maintenance and general understanding of cars! Plus she is beautiful! ( and a bit posh)! BIG LOVE to izzy!
@@Dariowheelmakermost South Asian countries have insane import taxes and minis aren't sold there so must be imported. I know in Pakistan where I'm from the tax rate is 300% on any non domestic cars or non Japanese. That means it makes it uneconomical to import any car that isn't Japanese so you mostly see Toyota and Honda there including many models we don't get in the UK
I might be a bit harsh here, but these two make the channel a lot more fun then Mike. He only seems to be able to try and get views by mentioning something with the famous three. Where Izzy and Maxwell have a much better energy. It also nice that Maxwell isn’t scared of being honest to Izzy. They can stand on their own legs.
Really coming along and these two work well together so a natural subset. You should challenge the AutoAlex, Matt Armstrong and a few of the other RU-vid channels to also prep a mini and then go racing!
I mean that's just obviously nonsense. James May is VERY compentent mechanically and has decades of experience doing such things. And Clarkson may act the fool on television but I know if push came to shove he knows what he's doing.
It took me a while but now i just love her attitude. She like a confident female hammond. Just imagine the other guys having such children who maybe put together a totally different car programm.
I’m really enjoying watching Maxwell and Izzy’s confidence growing with each new episode. They’re making Leaps and Bounds with every one. These are a cracking addition to the channel and work alongside Mikes more pettolhead vibes really well. There’s gonna be plenty of comparisons with her dad and that’s totally understandable but I’m looking forward to watching these 2 develop their own banter and their progression as presenters
Izzy following in her father's footsteps is making me cry harder than the upcoming last episode in September 30. 🥺🥺 Go on Richard Hammond's child! Make us proud! 😊😊
You go girl ! Can’t wait to see where this all goes. Track time will sharpen your skills and Stanley looks like he’s almost ready. Can’t wait to see what motor upgrades and tires you choose. Cheers guys!
Not seen it but I'm hoping that braided lines and better fluid was part of the brake upgrade. You'll still get shocking bad brake fade with stock brake fluid when it boils.
Izzy Hammond reminds me of Lia Block. To see these kids doing automotive things (and not just be pointless last name influencers) makes my heart happy. I support it.
This young lady has one of the toughest jobs in the world man-walk in her dad’s shoes WITHOUT coming across as a rich, spoilt, entitled brat. She is doing admirably I reckon. Well done kid!
Izzy is precious, but id love to have seen a wrap that looker more like her (cute, girly?) and less like an exact replica of the other napa mini. Like I'm sure they couldve done a gorgeous blue and yellow flower number!
Watching this with my 3 year old daughter. As I came back from making her morning milk, she tells me they are fixing the car as if to update me on what I’ve missed!
Really like this series. Would like to see Izzy do some mods to make cars fit her diminutive size better. Pedal extensions, seat height adjustments, whatever can be done to make a car fit her better. Common problem for a lot of people, on either end of the size spectrum. She's a trouper and just gets on with things, but would love to see some content around this. Not everyone is her dad's size and can fit in just about any car. Also maybe get her a step or box for the garage.
What are the best strategies to protect my portfolio? I've heard that a downturn will devastate the financial market, so I'm concerned about my $200k stock portfolio.
There are strategies that could be put in place for solid gains regardless of economy situation, but such execution is usually carried out by an investment specialist
I've been in touch with a financial analyst ever since I started investing. Knowing today's culture The challenge is knowing when to purchase or sell when investing in trending stocks, which is pretty simple. On my portfolio, which has grown over $900k in a little over a year, my adviser chooses entry and exit orders
