"Hallelujah", the world-famous Evergreen sung by Jóhanna Guðrún, host Björgvin Halldórsson, Páll Óskar and Júníus Meyvant.
To put it short: It's plain and simple another musical gem from the Christmas concert "Jólagestir Björgvins 2017"!
"Hallelujah" is a song by the Canadian singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen. It was first released in 1984 on the album "Various Positions". There are numerous cover versions of other musicians that have been used in many movies and television series. The best known are from Jeff Buckley, Rufus Wainwright and the a cappella formation Pentatonix.
"Jólagestir Björgvins" is since years the most successful concert series of the Christmas season in Iceland and took place early December 2017 for the first time in the large Eldborg Hall of the HARPA Concert Hall in Reykjavík.
The Icelandic broadcaster STÖÐ2 aired the recording of this great Christmas concert first at December 23rd, 2017.
