Everybody talks about Eto'O, Sneijder, Milito, Stankovic, Balotelli...but to me the Inter that won the treble with Jose Mourinho, owes so much to his midfield ( Zanetti, Cambiasso, Thiago Motta...) defenders ( Lúcio, Maicon, Materazzi, Walter Samuel, Chivu) and off course This unbelievable goalkeeper...Júlio Cesar was just magnificent!!!!!

Vero!io ne ho 33 e anche per me il calcio e una passione q cui nn posso rinunciare...julio tra il 2007 e il 2011 era davvero fortissimo,quasi allo stesso livello di Buffon e casillas,purtroppo poi è calato ma rimane sempre un grande e molte sue parate rimarranno nella storia

Actually, he was best in the world, no clue why Buffon is rated above Julio Cesar. In PES games which are very reliable rating wise Buffon's prime rating was 95, Julio Cesar's was 97, one of a kind goalkeeper!

I remember season 2009/2010 He was at his peak. He was the best keeper in the world. Even Casiilas couldn't match him in this season. Both of them are shot stopper, but Casillas seems to have more consistency than Julio

I think Casillas is not that consistent. Though I'm a big fan of JC1, but I must admit that Casillas had his prime longer than JC1, because Casillas was already good since his early days, while JC1 had short peak time between 2008 til 2011.

R3KiWi I agree with you. He was still great goalkeeper at QPR, but pity that Inter can't afford his salary raise. But I have to say that was a good deal for Inter brought Handa to Giuseppe Meazza. I can't think of anyone that could be as great as Handa.

@@ThomasAquinos Ele foi um grande goleiro do Flamengo entre 2000-2004 ajudando o time ganhar títulos e salvando do rebaixamento no Campeonato Brasileiro aonde existe 12 times grandes. Ele teve um pico bom depois da Inter no Benfica também.

Não teve culpa alguma do vexame do 7 a 1 na Copa de 2014. Naquele jogo, o Brasil foi escalado com uma péssima linha de defesa (Dante, David Luiz, Marcelo e Daniel Alves), e ainda teve Fernandinho como responsável pela saída de bola na cabeça de área. Acho que não dá pra não dá pra ganhar um jogo com essa formação.

Brasil perdeu marcação principalmente nas laterais. Foi dolorido, mas poderia ter sido maior. Saída de jogo com UM só jogador e sem suporte.

Tomar 7 naquele nível nunca é uma questão técnica ou tática. O brasil tive um apagão psicológico. Cada zagueiro escalado aquele dia ganhou a liga dos campeões com o próprio clube. O nível era muito alto. Claro Thiago Silva teria ajudado mais, mas até assim era uma semifinal da copa. Não se chega la por acaso. Logo depois a vitoria contra o chile, o elenco todo o quase começou chorar. Um alarme que psicologicamente o time não tava pronto. Repare que depois aquele jogo Tite convocou na concentração uma psicologa.

Io non so se le tecniche nelle parate sono cambiate, ma lui al contrario dei portieri successivi alla sua era, respingeva in maniera quasi del tutto impeccabile dietro lo specchio della porta e non nell’area di rigore permettendo frequenti ribattute. Paragonandolo ad Handanovic, altro mostro ma non ai suoi livelli, c’è un mondo di differenza. Era esplosivo, di una reattività eccezionale, si estendeva come pochi, con uno stile unico, inoltre un brasiliano con i piedi, ti permetteva ripartenze che spesso portavano ad azioni offensive con lanci lunghi precisi (vedi azione 1º goal finale CL 2010) In due parole: l’acchiappa sogni. Per me un alieno, il più forte.
