1: Alan Jaeger recommends to use the velcro straps. I would go with him, he invented them. 2: Don't move the elbow or hands past the shoulder. Very possible to irritate the anterior part of the shoulder capsule (Eric Cressey recommendation). 3: To keep scap involvement, don't pull it down. That engages traps and holds the scap in place. Scaps gotta move. Keep shoulder in neutral position, but don't pull scaps down.
Correct, you should use jbands before you do any throwing to get the blood flowing... We use these on our off days as well. It gives the arm a good workout without having to throw (which is great for those players who don't have someone to throw with)
This is a batting question, im a right hand hitter and when I hit the ball I get good distance, but it always fouls over the the 3rd base foul line, how do I change that
Your probably swinging to early if your pulling everything. It may also have something to do with your technique. Could be pulling off the ball, etc... Best thing to do is get someone to take a video of your at bats so you could then go back and evaluate where the problem is... hope this helps, good luck!
Hey Finn, you don't really need to gain weight to throw harder. I'm sure it may help, but focus more on exercises/drills that make your arm/shoulder/legs stronger. There are a ton of them on this site! Good luck!
How old should you be when you start this program. My son is 7 and he can throw a baseball about 50 yards but i don't if he can start doing this or heavy balls without getting hurt.
