Some might not see it as a compliment for the most part, a lot of people who doesn't listen to J.Cole talks shit and says his music puts them to sleep because it's "so boring" so I guess that's where the misunderstanding of your comment came from. I personally get what you're saying tho because I love listening to calm relaxing music when I go to bed, that's why I have a playlist for that and it's a lot of J.Cole songs in that playlist :P

Cant believe I'm just now discovering this video. I jammed these when I was going through the hardest time in my life. I lost my mom and brother in the same month, my cousin died from pneumonia soon after and then I got expelled from school for showing up drunk. Cole really saved my life and just now hearing these songs again after so long brings tears to my eyes

I used to play "Cheer Up" when I was at my lowest, failing in school, and unable to drag myself out of bed. I had a tremendous amount of absences, tardies, I would go to school with my head low and always dolled up to hide the redness on my skin & acne flare ups from constant crying. On top of that I had anxiety I was only learning to cope with and would hate the reflection in the mirror, wiping all my makeup off and re-doing it until it looked "decent". I hated my father for abandoning me emotionally, and I hated myself without realizing it. To anyone who feels that empty feeling inside, I understand you and I still feel it at times but it does get better. You just have to be willing to make yourself, your friend. Love yourself, the way you loved someone you completely adored. There is never ONE right way to do things. And therapy, does help so long you are honest and make sure you enjoy the therapist you are with. Nothing in this life, will ever be bigger then you. Wipe your tears away lovingly, and pick yourself up to take a warm shower (it calms your nervous system). It'll all be okay in the end, keep this in mind. Much love.

Such a fuckin good mix!!! This gonna be on repeat. I just saw him live on the Big As The What tour and he was phenomenal!! I've been a fan since before he blew up. To see him in a little bar in Fayetteville doin his first album release show to seeing him in an arena performing to thousands of people and being "Best Rapper of 2023" is so amazing and well deserved!! My heart just exploded with joy seeing him up there after all his years of hard work doin the damn thing!! And he only gets better and better with each passing year. He'll always be the GOAT to me!
