I think you're missing the point of the album, the reason for him repeating himself is he's imitating rappers now a days. That's the whole point of this album, addressing todays age, drug culture and hip hop.
nah once he heard an 808 he just went blank and stop paying attention to the lyrics, like photograph talked about some real comments and he kept talking about the chorus repeating
The songs go from what is popping today more toward his style in the end. I feel he is making fun of the new style and playing off of it to bring in new listeners to get them to the true message. The album is in no way of its intent to glorify drug users
In my opinion hes being repetitive on purpose because main stream rap is and they don't talk about anything. He did the same thing but actually has some substance.
had EXACT same conversation about the car skit from lupe after the cool track. when something too close to ur nose u cant see - j cole music example of that
J Cole album remind of when they say support black ppl. Then the black business do the minimum and we hype it up or when you go to the poppy store and order a regular platter that would tasted better made at home. But you hype it up and post it and get mad likes. That what I feel about this album. Like J Cole suppose be looking at Jay Z, Nas, Tupac and Kanye. Can you honestly say he ever dropped a classic. To me his second album was his strongest. So it's debatable. Like to me Blueprint classic but he already had reasonable doubt, Stillmatic classic but he illmatic, College Drop out classic his second album was to, Tupac All eyes on me and his last album with live and die LA and white man's world
