J.cole infamous interview on Tavis smiley 💕 Please check out my latest video: J. Cole live stream talking about Friday Night Lights on 11/5/10 at 9:30 PM Thank you guys soo much for the 8,000 views on this video. This means a lot truly💙
J Cole proves once again why he's one of the greatest! The point he makes about being a good student but not really retaining what you learned. I know and feel that! 🖐
This is why I look up to Cole because he is the only artist/rapper I can really relate to like the part where he talks about him sharing a room with his older brother in his old house and once his mom met his step dad they moved into a bigger house in 2014 Forest Hills Drive where he had his own room, which was the case in my situation. I remember sharing a room with my older brother when he, my mom & I lived in the basement of an apartment in Chicago and once my mom met my step dad, they got married and moved us to a bigger house in the suburbs where me and my brother had our own individual rooms, my stepsisters had their room and of course my mom and step pops had their room and our address also had Drive in it. I also can relate to him saying how he would isolate himself in his room writing raps, which is what I do too, I’m also an upcoming artist btw and also the part where he talks about always passing tests in school but never really retaining the information, which really touched my soul and made me realize that I am not alone and that artists like J. Cole who I genuinely look up to not only as a rapper, but as a person as well has or had experienced the same type of struggles or circumstances and he’s now one of the biggest and most popular hip hop artists of this generation and that’s the level I’m trying to reach when it’s my time and hope to put out an album that is as good as 2014 FHD telling my story💯
J Cole has the most wisdom out of any rapper in this generation ive heard next to Big Sean, honestly. Two big rappers with a certain spiritual knowledge is cool to see. It takes a certain perspective on things to really understand the value in his words
Mad this interview was so short. This interview was special. J. Cole is really the goat. His status transcends his musical ability. The fact that he is living his purpose and delivering such a powerful and positive message while still being successful in an industry ran by vanity is what will always separate Cole from the rest.
Very refreshing interview. Real real real. What a beautiful young soul. An inspiration to the youth following such dreams. Honestly heart warming to hear his story.
First time seeing this interview, amazing. Every j Cole interview has me doing some intense self-introspection. The interviewer was also very very good.
Hey, first time hearing, but he just reached me with his vocal texture and how he sings songs in a story like way. and im just finding this guy. What a damn blessing. I was watching a kendrick lamar
My spirit always connected to cole. Love his energy, his authenticity, his stories, he’s the reason I honed in on my “story telling” in my music. Truly inspirational. 🤍

I freaking love Travis smiley interviews dude!!! He's so good at it! Ask good and thoughtfully worded questions with actual interest in the answer. His interview with Logic is super freakin dope too! Highly recommend it. PLP coleword also, definitely not last just wanted to give some love to Travis smiley but Cole in this was so dope to hear, so wise and true and genuine sounding. Man's always looking to better himself and that's all we can try to do. Love it!!
Cole shows it’s more to life than the riches you could see through his voice that it’s no facade and he’s truly here to make the world better through his contributions
It’s crazy that I had an instant negative reaction of how close they are sitting. Covid really made life really sad now. 😢. Anyway. I’ve been cole fan since 2010. Love seeing his growth. I remember watching this when it came on PBS in 2014.
@@saintsummerz use college as a tool to get to where you want to. I believe there's so much to college then just attending school. You learn so much and it's easier to network
I know exactly what he means. The school system we have in place is messed up, I’ve seen it first hand now that I’m grown. But when you’re in it, that’s just simply your reality. You accept it and move on. I just hope we can find an alternative way to test students.
