0:24 When the sample's play and someone in the crowd yells "PLAAYYYEEERRSS" and Dilla gets the stink face and goes "Who?! (who guessed the sample already?!!) then he goes "Who that? Ooooooohhhh.. Ay that's my man here.." That dude has all the Dilla cred in the fucking world
@@craigr4763 yes. It is "Claire" in the original sample. But, J Dilla flipped it so it kind of sounds like "Player." It's the magic of hip hop my friend.
Damn that must have been a priceless live show man. I went to a slum village show in my city a few years ago and it was great, because of that Dilla vibe... like we could somehow feel his presence through the music. Those guys were very lucky to see him live... long live Jay Dee
"CLA-IR" "Who Hip?My Man Hip"!! They're now in another dimension.JDilla..Phife Dog..MF Doom. All three could jump from tables to Mike in the same show. I'm jealous now and sad. 😥
How fascinating that Dilla (when alive) did this tune without T3 -- and just recently on Robert Glasper's concert tour, T3 did his tribute to Dilla on Conant Gardens while doing Dilla's verse.... Respect to a legend!
Dope Dilla face sticker on my back windshield rollin' around Detroit showing respect like I'm spose to. Dilla will always be Motown's finest! R.I.Beats
Madlib still out here making Jdilla proud every day. Much love, I had to hide his love for rap/hip hop when I was young, so happy I discovered it early though
This is why I gotta make time to go see artist I love and even speakers…it’s hard to think you can’t ever get this live experiences when they leave this physical realm…shout out to my dad for puttin me on hood ass music since I was vibin in the car seat!!!!!❤
there are phenomenal producers still they just aren’t in the same style as dilla and premier so y’all don’t wanna hear it even though it’s still impressive
@Alex Campbell Noted. Especially in this day and age we will never see real talent like Dilla, MF Doom and Madlib ever again period! There were the last of their kind. Nowadays it's just copy and paste, cookie cutter mumble rap shit which is not true HIP-HOP! Rest in Beats to Dilla and Nujabes. They were truly almost Hip-Hop's last hope to being saved and restarting another renaissance. On another note, I'll start enjoy life in full once more when this "pandemic" bullshit starts to die down. Young people are lost, confused and giving up on life (literally) at this point and the government are really having a major power trip right on so fuck them! #DillaSavedMyLife #B1 #IamHipHop
Real talk that's when the whole game changed I am no body but THEM record breakers who bit the steeze and snitched. Y'all killed the meaning of being in the HOP. So imma HIP to the swing and sway to be. P.S We LIT CROWD!
