I love this track. But it's always been too short, so I tried to recut it well enough to make it like an extended mix. Thought some other people might enjoy. Peace and RIP If you wanna hear some of my own music; • Ry - Open Return
this song seriously has more soul than any song i've ever heard. i have to listen to it every so often to keep the slight grip on reality that i have. here is to a great new year, dilla rest in peace but the donuts still spin strong.
@@bryanm5140 my man its not the same track same sample but not the same production that shit dont sound anything like the GREAT JAMES YANCEY SHIT WORD BOND
Thank you Mrs. Warwick and her producers for putting the original together and thank you J- Dilla for bridging the gap from our elders to the kids today!! This song will live forever!!!
i found the original by Dionne Warwick on one of the Shaolin Soul albums. i thought i heard Ghostface use it, damn it sounded familiar. then i googled the title track with sample and this popped up with j dilla. brought back mad memories. what saddens me is how this was released 3 days before his passing and everyone pointing out "is death real" in the comments during the track. today is 7/17/2021 - ive been playing this since i woke up this morning for work at 8 am. its 2 pm now. i cant name a track that i have listened to all day like this
I heard Stop one day on the Pandora station i was listening to and always wanted to know what was the original song. I saw this under the original song by Dionne Warwick . Thanks for extending the J Dilla version. Listening to both the original song and the Dilla version makes me wish Dilla was still with us in the land of the living making music miracles.
forever bumping this to remind me of my younger days when life wasnt as tough and i had the luxury of just playing tunes daydreaming and vibing. thank you for the extended goodness. 👊🏻
Damn great job on making this extended! That is the only negative thing about the album that you cant listen the songs seperately because thay are too short! Good job!
J dilla was to sick to make beats anymore at the time this track was made so he got his mom and told her how to do everything for this track. She did the drums and everything.
anguish and torment is the best way to define this beat for me ... because j dilla knew to die "is death real" I'm crying "you better stop and think about what you doing" brother dilla never forgotten one love
I was listening to you on ty and then this came on and I was like oh shit ry might want to know how cool that is, the I noticed that you made and uploaded it! 🙏
Ryan, Is there any chance of getting a HQ mp3 or Wav of this mix so that I can dj with this? This is my all time favourite tune and I was thinking of extending this myself but you have done an impeccable job! It would also be cool to chop it up with more of the original Dionne Warwick tune.
