Many of the other videos you'll see interrupt the clean side line, whereas ours interrupts the dirty side. In our experience the clean side kits collect little to nothing in comparison to the dirty side.
Thanks for the excellent instructions. I installed the catch can yesterday and it was very easy. It took a minute to locate the existing hose, as I was reaching too low. I was able to easily find the clip ends and disconnect. I did buy a second factory hose and having it helped me to understand how the clips worked and the overall size. The factory hose is shorter than I invisioned. One tip is I believe I did heat the end a little too much as the o ring was damaged. I did have the spare factory hose, so I was just more careful the second time. Overall much easier than I had thought and thanks again for the excellent video.
Very informative video. I just purchased a 2023 Bronco Sport Badlands with the 2.0 engine. I see that you listed the 2022 Bronco Sport. Will it fit the 2023 Bronco Sport Badlands 2.0 engine as well?
Unfortunately Ford changed the PCV layout sometime late in 2022 on the Broncos. We haven't been able to get one in the shop to tweak fitment as of yet, but we're trying.
@@jloilseparatorco.1853 Damn, that figures..lol.. I looked up the J&L oil separator you featured in your video. The website says it will fit my 2023 Bronco Sport. I'll have to give them a call and get their advice. The last thing I want is a carboned-up engine.
@@goochma We are J&L oil separator, so if you call you'll be talking to the same people. This kit only fits up to 2022 on the Bronco Sport as I mentioned previously, but thanks for bringing it to my attention that the website year, make and model search had a fitment error. If you look down in the description on the web page you'll this kit only goes up to 2023 for the Edge and Maverick. 👍
@@jloilseparatorco.1853 Good point..lol.. I didn't realize I was talking to the actual J&L. I missed that in the description. If you guys ever figure one out for the 2023 and up models please let us know. I am sure you will sell a lot of them. I know I'd buy one for sure.
great video Thank you very much but I have a doubt about whether the engine cover would have to be modified or it can no longer be installed once we do this installation. Thanks
If you read the fine print on any warranty contract you will find a lot of reasons your warranty can become void; installing aftermarket parts can be one of them. However, per the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act proof would have to be provided that the after-market part caused the failure. If you need further clarification, contact your vehicles service department. Some are easier to deal with than others.
We do not. In our experience, the clean side on almost every vehicle collects little to nothing in comparison to the dirty side. We only really see any if the vehicle is used to tow heavy loads frequently, or does some sort of road racing.
Hi there, it has been my reading and Not understanding that this side is not necessarily the side you want the catch can on, it's the rear [dirty] side, can you shed some light on that? Thanks
Absolutely! You're correct that the dirty side is the one you want to interrupt, but the rear side on these is the clean side and our kit interrupts the dirty side. The one on the rear is the CCV or clean side. In our experience, the clean side kits will see little to no collection in comparison to the dirty side, which is why we only make the PCV side kits for most of our fitments.
