I freaking love the soundtrack of Return of the Living Dead Part II, it's so damn good. I even love this rendition of the Trioxin Theme, even this part here (6:41) is awesome.

I don't care about the general consensus. This movie was fun and one of the first zombie movies I ever saw along with NOTLD 90. So it holds a special place in my heart.

This is very nice! Amazing quality, i like the small edits with other pieces of the soundtrack sprinkled throughout. I also REALLY LOVE the colours used in this video, i love the filters, the effects, how the smoke came in, how there's lighting in the back, how the text is moving. This is honestly so fking cool.

@@ritasimmons36 There's still a possibility to rip the audio from the DVD. I contacted the composer but I doubt to get a response. Also, I just did ROTLD 3 but it's from a 128kbps MP3 source. I'm waiting to see if I can find a better source (flac?).

This is very similar to Haines’ ‘Trioxin Theme’ but also distinctly different. Was there a reason for that like copyright issues or something?

This whole soundtrack took a shift from the original-- first one was pretty squarely punk, this one is mostly metal leaning. They seem to have simply given it a metal-over. Of course the original didn't fit in with the rest of the soundtrack exactly, so not exactly sure. Eh, this version is a lot more badass anyway.

Like Devinpaul pointed out this was meant to have a different tone than the first. They also wanted to give it a more modern sound as even when the first Return came out the punk music they used was pretty dated. When this was being made synth and hair metal were being used in a lot of big-budget horror films like Nightmare on Elm Street and the Friday the 13th films.
