Hey everybody, hope you've been well! It's been quite a long time since the last long video upload. That's not because I've been lazy - a lot has been going on lately in my life. I prepared for the entrance exams for the Master's program for piano performance in university and at the same time for my Bachelor's graduation concert. Luckily I've met some very energetic and inspiring professors who helped me to prepare my current concert program. So I auditioned in a few universities and I got accepted to continue my piano studies in the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin 🥳. Also I've had a very successful Bachelor graduation concert in my current music university in Trossingen a few days ago. This beautiful French Suite No. 5 by J.S. Bach was the first piece in the set. A baroque suite consists of several individual dance movements, each with a different tempo and character and from different countries of Europe. In this suite there is a beautiful "Allemande", a quick and festive "Courante", a graceful and slow "Sarabande", an elegant "Gavotte" followed by two "Bourrees" and finally a lively and playful "Gigue" in the end. An absolute masterpiece as a whole and such a joy to play! I hope you liked my performance of this French Suite. Have you ever listened to this or other Suites by Bach? My son is learning several Bach pieces now. It's evident why he (and his offspring) dominated the European music scene for 150 years and continues to be felt today. I like what the musician Sting said in a recent interview, that "each day he learns at the feet of Bach."
