Remarkable! One can feel Yunchan in his performamce. What an unbelievable tutor he must be to have taken a 13yr old and five years later given that incredible gift to the world! Yunchan has enormous respect for his teacher and never fails to remind others he owes so much to his tutoring. I now am discovering Minsoo Sohn's work too. Makes me so happy❤
Absolutely! Accdg to Yunchan Lim, Prof Minsoo still continue coaching him even during the hectic schedule when he was recording the Beethoven all Sonatas. Prof is such a commited, well organised, passionate man. Really admire him!❤

The best interprétation i have heardbin my life from Glenn Gould, amazing and sensitive with a stunning touch, a very spécial cadenza, i recognize in the play of Yunchan Lim somestop before attacking the notes. Great😮😮😮😮😮
Yunchan Lim and his teacher here, maestro Sohn, are proof that the magnetic pole of western music has moved east, currently to be found in Korea... Yunchan must be given first prize, and all the other candidates may get whatever the Cliburn people find necessary to do - hopefully no wokeism will prevail.
I can’t even begin to express how this music makes me feel... he creates a world of magic with tenderness and majesty. His Goldberg has to be one of my favorite recordings. Thank you for this video

어제 TV예술무대 명동대성당 연주 재방? 재방이라던 것 같은데 끝까지 못봤지만 그날로 그렇게 사라진 꿈이었다면 어떡하나 싶었던 것 같아요. 오늘도 다시 이렇게 들을 수 있는 바흐에 기쁩니다. 변주곡을 진짜 애증합니다. 쇼팽 변주곡 마망을 음대 시절 과제로 받았는데 선생님이 연주하신 바흐의 이 변주 부분도 30개나 되잖아요. 그런데 제 인생에 변주곡을 꼭 다시 만나보고 싶다는 생각이 들었습니다. 학교를 다닐 때 학교를 다 배우고 다 배운 것으로 살아야하는 줄 알았어요. 그러나 학교에서 얻은 Seeds를 앞으로의 인생에서 하나씩 틔워 볼 생각을 하며 행복합니다.
