Although you are correct, "keyboard" is the term that describes any instrument with keys, therefore we may call Bach' harpsichord concertos as keyboard concertos. Nonetheless, you're absolutely right anyway. ❤
@@guikentaro a harpsichord concerto is not a keyboard concerto, because keyboard concerto implies that pianos or electric keyboard, or even organs can be used as an alternative. this concerto only works when a harpsichord is used. that's why I said it's not a keyboard concerto, I am aware that a harpsichord is a keyboard instrument, but a piece composed for the harpsichord is not composed for all keyboard instruments, just like a piece for violin is not written for all string instruments.
@@Whatismusic123 I think you're being a bit to pedantic, you are wrong that only the harpsichord can play this piece, this performance clearly shows that the piano is a perfectly suitable instrument to play this piece, The Organ might sound a bit strange playing this piece but that does not preclude it from being able to do so, just like a digital keyboard would be fine to play this piece as well, I think if you are a little bit too rigid and to much of a purist on what instrument this piece can be performed on you, prevent yourself from enjoying other very excellent renditions, I myself find that I enjoy the piano version far more than the harpsichord.
@@quinnriutta I am actually not just "being a purist" as you so kindly call it. I am completely fine with people for example playing the well tempered clavier on the piano. But these concertos just absolutely fall apart in sound when a piano is used. Again, what's the difference between using a damn piano to play these concerts and using an organ or whatever, both sound equally terrible and both get drowned out by the orchestra Also good on you for enjoying trash more than a good performance.
@Whatismusic123 All I can say is this is something we wont agree on, you prefer the harpsicord, and I like both, but as a pianist myself, I have a bias in the direction of the piano, let's agree to disagree.
