I love the multitude of German churches that call their organs a Bach-organ ;) Of course this one has good papers regarding the church it is in.

Beautifully played. You are lucky to have such a beautiful mutation for the solo part. I used to have to make so with a oboe, which isn't nearly as good. Well done again, Paul.

This piece was was the first chorale prelude I ever learned, nice to hear it played by someone else for a change haha. So much is lost if one never hears the music one plays, I'm very lucky to be learning in the information age.

The first time I heard this prelude on Telarc CD, recorded in St Andreas, Hildesheim. Not only that the melody is hauntingly beautiful, I found the tones of the St Andreas organ angelic. I was happy to find two BWV 731 recordings on your channel as I wanted to hear how you play this pious masterpiece. And all the more so as this rendition is from the very same church where JSB worked. Apparently, the building is the same but the instrument is more recent yet fit for Bach’s music. This performance is exquisite (tones, tempo) and I am now convinced this is how the composer wanted the music sound: devoted and inspiring. (A visit to Thomaskirche is now a must in the years to come.) I understood earlier that you carry out the tasks of the audio engineer and the video editor, too. Well done - ausgezeichnet.
