Je dois dire que je préfère la version que nous donne Emmanuelle HaÏm de ce superbe Magnificat à celle, très belle aussi, de Jordi Savall. Le tempo me plaît bien et l'orchestre est excellent, tout comme les solistes et le choeur, suave, moelleux ! Et puis, je retrouve la voix ineffable d'Émöke Barath : un bonheur absolu. Et puis, il y a Damien Guillon, excellent ici.Pourtant je n'aime pas bien les contre-tenors dans les oeuvres de Bach. Oui, cette version est un enchantement. Merci infiniment à tous ces artistes pénétrés de la transcendance de la musique.
What an excellent interpretation! I enjoyed it much more than I enjoy a number of other more famous recordings. She makes the music come alive and dance. Wonderful!

This is one of my favorite work by JS Bach, so I've listened many versions, all including soprano & tenor in the Et Misericordia. It was a pleasant surprise to hear such good countertenor replacing the soprano in that part. All the cast is great, and so is E. Heim.
Je ne sais pas comment Mme Haïm dirige cet ensemble, mais elle le dirige magnifiquement bien. J'adore cette interprétation. Les solistes font un travail incroyable. L'orchestre est parfait. J'imagine que Bach aurai adoré cette interprétation. Magnifique Madame Haïm! A Brest (29/ Finistere/ France /au bout de la terre) il y a super public! Venez madame Haïm, si cela vous plait.

Interesting combination of the historically informed choir from Le Concert d’Astrée and the modern instruments from the hr Sinfonie orchester. Madame Haïm is a great conductress.
