J.S. Bach - Magnificat BWV 243 

What a fine performance. I liked especially the large cello. Perhaps it is one of the instruments called vi9lone. It played at eight foot pitch, it was tuned in fourths, there were 5 strings I think, the tone was beautiful, the attack splendid. There were frets, and it was clearly in the violin family. Modern scholarship suggests that an instrument like this was specified for the lowest line in Brandenburg 6.
