As a Rangers fan I always loved Miller. Such a versatile player who just does so many different good things when he’s on the ice. Glad to see him thriving
@@colelower1915 Of course I know , in my opinion these restrictions are absurd. I feel for all those great Winnipeg fans denied a great game experience.
He's too expensive. We won't be able to sign him again. Teams are going to be offering him lots of money and a lot of those teams are going to be cup contenders too. I would eat my hat if JT takes a team friendly deal.
@@SokomPwnage He does have another year. I think the big things are cap space for next season, and perhaps the possibility of him not playing as well next year/losing value at next year's deadline. Personally, though, I really don't want to see him go. He's been our best offensive forward the last couple years, and that, to me, makes up for those times where his defensive game is sorely lacking. Edit: it was actually his first season in VAN that he led us in scoring, rather than last season, where Boeser had a few extra points, but still. He's been our best offensive player overall in the past 3 seasons.
9 is our work horse. He leads by example on and off the ice. We would be worse off without him, we would have more losses in the column then wins at this point. It’s like when we traded Tyler Tafolli. I get why they are talking about it and all but no. Talk with his agent add at least 4 years onto what he has remaining. Give incentives. Trade others. To me untouchables. Boeser, Petrersson,Horvat, Hoglander, podkolzin,Miller.
JT had an impressive game: Face off dominance, hat trick, PP and PK. His BEST, most impressive action on the night was going and getting the puck behind the net at the end of the game and give it to Martin for his first NHL win. That is sheer class, leadership and honour. Please don't trade him.
Make no mistake about it, JT Miller is a flat out stud hockey player. Trading him instantly makes this team worse. But here’s the rub…keeping him, the Canucks at best slide into a wild card playoff spot, end up playing the Avalanche or Vegas and get lucky to win a game or two. Then what? They bring back the same roster next year (minus a piece or two) only to have to battle for the same result. They can’t add via free agency because of the cap hell they’ve been left in. On the trade market, JT Miller is arguably going to be the most sought after guy (maybe #2 after Chychrun). At the very least, the Canucks can get 1-2 stud prospects and 1-2 1st or 2nd round draft picks. Saves on the cap going forward and adds to the young aged 22-24 year old core they want to build around. Though it’s not a deal anyone really wants…if this team wants to legit vie for a cup in 3-4 years, it’s a deal that HAS to be made. Otherwise, the Canucks will be destined to stay in the middle of the pack…and that’s the surest way of never sniffing a Cup.
they could also run this team out this year with minimal changes (maybe trade motte as he's an expiring ufa) and then explore trading miller in the offseason. the only way his value will decrease between now and then will be if he gets injured
@@timhortonss6789 They could but make sense to sell high now when he is in demand. They will get much less if they wait until the end of the year (even if he doesn’t get injured).
Why do Canuck fans upon finally having close to a fully oiled team try to start trading players. 5 mil is worth for his on AND off ice contributions. Take the guaranteed stuff, no more trade gambles
