It's interesting to me how the Rangers get rid of guys and then they go on to become superstars or win a cup. JT and Brett Howden would be good examples of that.

And JT Miller was really good on the Rangers but he was immature as he even admitted; he was traded by Tampa Bay after his time in NY. The Rangers went through their retool and traded good players away to build a better lineup. If I’m not mistaken, they are first in the league currently?

Howden netted them Nick Desimone (yet again, who???) Hajek is still in the organization but not on the big club. Last thing: the Rangers are not only terrible with their trades, but look at some of these busts as top10 draft picks: Kravstov Kakko Lias andersson Even Lafreniere is not living up to his draft position. So now they are good, but extremely top heavy with their cap, and have no real good homegrown forwards under the age of 25! Better win now because the future looks bleak.
@@timehrler2686 what are you talking about? You called Brett Howden a “superstar” - he is not and never will be. JT Miller only became a superstar after getting traded by two teams. On the Rangers he was really good as a productive player. And so what they only won one Cup? They have been one of the best run organizations in the sport with the 5th highest winning percentage since expansion. Many teams haven’t won anything. Expansion teams entered and had favorable advantages to win early one - the Islanders. They won their cups and have been one of the worst teams in the league - no Cups since 83. 40 years of nothing! The Rangers have never drafted first overall until Lafreniere so they did not get guaranteed superstars. They did develop guys late in drafts and even undrafted to become excellent players - Henrik and Igor. They developed Kreider and Mika to be two of the most productive players in the league. So next time you wish to talk smack, learn to read and bring better arguments than the crap you drop here. It’s embarrassing on your end.

I think Maroon was just trying to stay out of the way of his teammates. No sense warming up just to play two shifts. Even standing still he managed to mishandle the puck. Poor guy.

When I was warming up for one of my sledge hockey games we were playing our biggest rivals. One of their players pucks he was warming up with got shot down in our zone and he skated in our zone to get it. No one did anything
You would think with stick-handling skills like that, he would pickup some of Connor Mcdavid’s lateral movements and try to toe drag some shots etc. I didn’t know he had hands like that being that size. That’s why Mcdavid is special. He’s 6’1 but he’s lean…you won’t catch him.
