This up coming off season I really hope he works on his outside game and develops a reliable jump shot. He just doesn’t get that he won’t last long with this play style
It’s not Ja’s fault it’s AD’s fault well it’s kinda both but think of it like this ja morant shouldn’t have tried to dunk over a guy that’s like 6’9 or 6’5 and AD should’ve moved out the way because he literally seen him coming and stood there with his hands crossed
Y’all have to understand it’s not the first time he tried to dunk on someone but to get blocked unexpectedly from behind pushing him further and be that high is a given his body was horizontal if y’all really look, he tried to land but he’s hand and fingers bent🙁. Get well soon ja
It really is just a matter of time before the ACL or MCL injury that ruins his career because he won't or can't learn to play below the rim when the opportunity to dunk isn't there, his athleticism is telling him to dunk on everyone cause time hasn't taught him not to yet
Funny, I have never had much faith in Zion being elite going past 30 as he is now. He has not displayed enough of a varied skillset imo (ball handling, jump shooting, running an offense) to expect longevity. However he is so young, all it takes is a change of mindset. Everyone is athletic enough at the pro level in any sport, being a “super” athlete isn’t particularly special or going to put players super far ahead. A guy like Giannis who in the beginning had a great physique for basketball and extreme athleticism, very early on had to develop the ability to run an offense and handle the ball well enough to do so. I have no doubt that even when he is unable to literally jump over people or out muscle them he will still be contributing heavily to a teams success
Can’t just go up on everybody like that…. young man’s mentality…should’ve tried that 360 lay up. AD is a vet who knows how to get there first for the charge
This type of same injury happened to me in 2016 but thank god i didn't break 😅. When I realised how my wrist bent .the pain after that is unbearable for 2,3 mins . 😅
When u take risk on all possessions it's time question before happening, when your only goal it's to shine with dunking on everyone the wisdom catch back u, i hope he'll understand now. I wish he'll be fine.
He should’ve listened when everybody kept saying he was gonna get injured trying to dunk on everybody. He’s reckless. It was a matter of time until this happened.
Ja is the main event on (and off the court😅) but better slow down a lil bit if he wants to last in this league. Should ask elder players like Blake Griffin and so many other great dunkers who ruined their knees bodies and careers because of a game mainly based on jumping and dunking on people. Working and relying on foundamentals never disappoint.
On one hand, I feel sorry for him and anyone else who has to deal with injuries. But, on the other hand, he kept trying to get that very same dunk on AD all the game. And AD kept taking charge. It's actually a surprise that it didn't happen sooner.
Colorado prosecutors couldn't give Ja gun charges in Colorado there's open carry laws there and Ja wasn't drinking .which would be a violation to posses a firearm while intoxicated. The NBA treats players like they are guilty till proven innocent.
In the long run this is good for JA MORANT... the Coaches and trainers will be able to tell him that all of the high-flying dunks are gonna end your career. Playoff basketball is not won by putting people on posters, it's a slow, steady grind! JA MORANT has the potential to be a combination of DWYANE WADE, DERRICK ROSE and ALLEN IVERSON, all 3 were incredible but only WADE got the most out of his talent. Stay on the perimeter and shoot better, all the show boating dunks are gonna have you averaging only 12 points per game before long.
The Lakers went and got Beasley, Russell and Vanderbilt (former T-wolves)so that they "could" compete with the Grizzlies in the West. Yeah, the front offices in the West heard Ja's comment loud and clear and took action so the Grizzlies wouldn't be "fine" in the West and everyone knew Ja wasn't lying Ja Morant was not lying and they know it. But had it not been for the two bad breaks, Adams and Clarke getting injured the Grizzlies would have beaten the Lakers. I believe Coach Jenkins allowed the score to be run up the last game of the series to save face for James and to establish the case to move on from Dillion Brooks but had they advanced I think he would still be on the team maybe. You can't talk about the poster boy of the NBA and get away Scott free, with out some backlash. Kleiman did like the antics last season so he had to do something before it got out of hand. But get ready for 2024, y'all gonna have problems in the West courtesy of the Memphis Grizzlies. It is going to be 🔥.
