I'm very happy, Rohan, that you introduced these Gen Z kids to Javed Jaaferi. Javed Jaaferi is the person who taught India's 90's kids what rap and hip-hop are and this fact is something no 90's kid will deny, even the 'RASNA' brand featured his rap in their advertisement and you didn't mention that track, 'Eggjacktly.' That track is highly underrated in political rap. I'll definitely recommend everyone to listen to it.

He is the one who turned the whole scene upside down. People now don’t know what he has done. All that is done now is solely based on the platform created from scratch by Javed sir. Huge respect for you brother also I thank you for bringing this out. Your video is exactly on point and it was very important for this new generation to know all these facts about hip-hop and mostly the origin of realty show in India. I have also lived this same era and have been seeing the evolution of dance culture in these years. Great video but I would like to mention there was another rap song released in 1994 titled 'Patti Rap' from the 'Humse hai Muqabala' soundtrack produced by AR Rahman, it had a proper beastie boys-esque hip hop beat and is performed in Hindi( it think there's a regional language version too). Regardless, JJ sir is a goat!!!

Rohan and group was the video that helped me learn b boy move flare.... i wad in grade 8 n now its been 15 yrs.... i alwayd has admired javed jafre.... even his moves were much better than pravu deva.... (may be 10 yrs before deva).... i am from Nepal and I always credit Javed as a super versatile and talented indian....

Got Goosebumps out of Nostalgia. Boogie Woogie was MY FIRST show and introduction to Hip Hop. I use to watch every episode utmost excitement and enthusiasm. I never knew Javed's contribution to Hip Hop on Rappin and MCing was had always loved to hear him and watch him dancing and nailing it, ohh mahn he is the real OG! Shout to ma mahn Javed Jaffrey!

I agree with Rohan, way back in 1999 i was 7 years when I was shortlisted to go mumbai for a dance performance in a show called "Boogie Woogie" There I met Javed Sir and Naved Sir first time in life. Just before the our performance Javed sir gave us lesson on upcoming dance styles which included popping and locking, break dance. That time we could barely understand those dance forms until one year after that kaho na pyar hai released and public watched break dance of hritik roshan as a mass audience. Javed sir is really a legend. I am lucky I was part of his show for once unlike today's reality shows which has everything but reality. 😊😊

Rohan can write better metaphors than today's rappers. Even,writing multi-syllable rhymes and multi-entendres is a child's game to him. Still,the way he pushes hip-hop through his knowledge and,giving credit to every deserving artist,is insane. Mad respect to the guy.
