Hope and Jace face several battles, many want her dead but in all of this they end up falling in love with each other. A forbidden and epic love.
Jace hides a dark side, just like her, but she's also ready to sacrifice that love to save him. The Clave orders her to leave him, otherwise she will be locked up and so he does. Jace suffers, becomes vulnerable and believes she is engaged to someone else.
Lilith uses her vulnerability to make him the Owl by extinguishing her humanity of hers, at the same time when she is in herself she discovers the truth about Hope and her lies.
Despite the pain they can't stay apart, they get back together but he is not well, so Hope on the battlefield discovers that he is the Owl.
