When it comes to US comedy my top three are (in no particular order): Always Sunny, 30 Rock and Arrested Development. I think AD especially is similar to 30 Rock with it's "10 jokes per second" dialogues.

The Office official youtube channel has been uploading video clips as well and they're getting hundreds of thousands of views, while 30 Rock clips are barely getting any views. I love both shows (prefer 30 Rock) but the disrespect is unreal. Both all time great shows! And 30 Rock never had the absolute meltdown seasons after Michael left-- it was excellent till the end.

Yes. Another example is when Liz is dating Carol The Airline Pilot played by Matt Damon, and is talking to Jack about Invictus when she cuts herself off and says “wait, who was the white guy in that?” The white guy in Invictus is Matt Damon. There are a few jokes like that throughout the series. In the episode Grandmentor in Season 6, Tracy Jordan goes off his meds now that Hazel is his caretaker instead of Kenneth; as Kenneth chastises Hazel for this, in the background Tracy shouts “WE’RE ON A SHOW WITHIN A SHOW, MY REAL NAME IS TRACY MORGANNN.”

I am mildly disappointed but not surprised that Tina Fey thinks that's what a Wu-Tang song sounds like. I am shocked and horrified that Donald Glover, who was a writer on the show, didn't correct her.

I highly doubt Tina Fey or Donald Glover had anything to do with that short song clip. It was likely either given to the music department, or they used a clip from one of those generic music libraries.

Jeff’s use of GarageBand loops and samples in other parts of the series does annoy me a little bit, though.
