Jack Benny radio show 6/18/39 Father's Day / Leaving for Waukegan 

I watched the 1974 show that was a tribute to Jack Benny after he died. It was the most beautiful tribute to a man i have ever witnessed. This country loved him and felt him as a brother. It was a bigger loss for the people than any political figure.. everywhere he went, he encouraged people and delighted in excellence. He got us through WWII. When it was said his passing was the beginning of the end of an era, they were right. Comedy really died the day Jack Benny died. There will never be another Jack Benny. I am 63 years old. I really miss those of his generation, my mother's generation. .. and now,, even after his death, Jack is still uplifting people and giving happiness in the 21st century. It takes me back to a better time..and those jello commercials still work. 😊
