High IQ player that sees the field well and doesn’t get caught in traffic. Takes good angles and finishes tackles. Athletic and can cover too. At his size he should start in the middle of the field for alot of years on Sundays
Lions need a middle linebacker who tackles well and drops back into coverage well. I see Brad Holmes dropping gack from 18 pick and getting him in the endvof tge 1st round at 28-32. Seems high considering he is projected yo go in the early second round. But why not take him late in tge first if you have a need at lb and he is tge vest available in the draft?
Throw back type of LB. Great instincts, and football IQ as a whole. Not that flashy but does his job very well. Don’t know what his ceiling is but his floor is pretty much right there in his top. Steady starter, great against the run but might be a liability in coverage. The right system could make him a pro bowler.
I think he'll be ok in zone due to his size and length likely allowing him to get a hand on passes that smaller guys with his speed wouldn't be able to. I don't think he'll be able to play man much though as he doesn't appear to have much quickness aside from running straight downhill. 3rd down rbs and elite TEs will smoke him in man coverage.
Lions fans admiring their teams new weapon.. tip of the spear. I can’t wait to see this defense light up everyone. Generational talent.. all at the same time. This is our time. Detroit Dynasty!
If the Steelers are smart they will draft Jack Campbell. Need to bring some toughness back to that inside linebacker group. He wouldn't even have to change uniform colors!
From someone that watched every play of Iowa’s season this year: his is not missing speed. His awareness is so good that he is always the fastest second level defender to the ball. Jack Campbell WILL be an NFL all pro. Mark my words
Doesn't even look slow. I mean yeah the way he runs looks kinda slow but seeing him move in comparison to everyone else he looks pretty fast for a backer. At least a 4.7 type guy probably 4.6 just from the tape is what it seems
Yeah, great guy great football player. Great linebacker but the reason why linebackers are not 250 pounds anymore bc they were slow strong but slow compared to now linebackers now or more explosive and can run sideline to sideline like apes they are freaks but this guy still goodjust need to work on the speed.
Was watching the combine today and he was one of the players standing out from the LB group. I mean his name alone sounds like an NFL player hahaha, hopefully his game will translate to the pros.
Funny because I'm a Bills fan seeing if this could take over for Tremaine Edmunds lol You guys got a solid player. Hopefully Chicago doesn't misuse him like we did...
He Could Become the Next Best JACK in PITT If Hes Lands Too The Steelers... Man Plays Like a Old School Steeler LB witch PITT has been lack luster on the MLB position since Shazier
@@Carsn-nj8sl Nah Gibbs Dynamic 4.3 speed can play RB and in Slot. And got Best LB in College Football. And can trade back into 1st still...Good Draft so far.

Jack Campbell really has some potential at the linebacker position this dude can make some big plays for detroit cant wait to see him shine this year for us #letsgolions#
A lot of his highlights are simply him being at the right place at the right time...but that's actually a good thing. Local Detroit radio host wants him @18 after combine ranked him 7th/8th in athleticism for LB since they've been tracking that stat. I would only do that if I believed I couldn't move up into early 2nd for him. I really want this guy as our middle linebacker for 10+ years.
Like what I see. Good acceleration, good lateral movement, good lower and upper body strength. He knows how to work his attributes he's already got the colors on he could be a fit.👍🏾
Honestly, as a Packers fan. This is a solid pick. Guy is a stud. He is NFL ready. Good pick Lions. I think they should have waited on a RB, but oh well. I would have taken the best WR on the board.
I’ve heard people say Campbell’s slow, but when you can run with Corum while he’s trying to get outside and stop him for a minimal gain, you have enough speed in my book.
Well to be fair, Corum did freeze him later that game. Then again, it wasn't actually Jack's responsibility to be on the running back but take what you will from it.
Bro is straight beasting the Steelers work ethic please be there to grab in the fourth you'll be a Steelers and not have to get used to another color of uniform
Nice player. Kinda sorry that defensive "highlights" are now basic, unblocked, open field takles or simple pass defenses. Or at best maybe an interception thrown directly to defender.
He definitely processes fast, but he looks like he's a 4.7 guy on the field. Instincts and football IQ will help him out, but he'll need his DL to keep him clean so he can flow to the ball. If he goes hard with his draft prep training and shows better speed and change of direction than his tape suggests, he might sneak into round 2.
You definitely watch Seahawks very closely because we need a Mike and a SAM linebacker in worst way possible. Reminds me of KJ in Zone coverage tall and rangy to offset perceived slow 40 time . 4.7 is good enough just like KJ
Now that would make up for one unathletic line backing group. I’m nit sure what people see in Sewell, except for his size, cause that dude moves like he’s got a snowboard stuck to his feet. Missed tackle rate of like 24%… and in the nfl, guys are much more agile, and fast. Accounting for that… where’s that gonna go 50%_60%? Highest I’d take him is 6th round as a situational pass rusher.
@@TheBraveHEARTx 😂Man how I just related to that idea. I just did a mock where I took Torrence rd1 because all the top receivers and corners in this class I had gone off the board. Torrence has a lot of work to do but him next to Neal if they both work out is insane. I'm cool with either Campbell or Sanders in round 2 I'd love a receiver or corner early in this class as we're gonna need them but we also need a mike and IOL and IDL so I'm fine with taking whatever is the best players we can get with how the board falls
