totally different styles for the drake and cole verse im a huge fan of both but the smoothness and zero effort flow on johnny ps caddy along with the such clear story telling has the edge for me this drake verse on the other hand is full of punchlines and bars that make you rewind and say oh shit he just said this and that he also spazzed on a beat that most rappers cant even come up with a flow to both great verses but id personally stick to the cole verse

Huge fan of both artists. I think another great reason for Jack and Drake to link on a song is cuz I feel like both of em are known to say a few things that are corny too. I think J cole’s verse in Johnny p’s caddy would be even or better than this drake verse IF it was longer. But with the current verse lengths I would say they’re even.

I like both Jack and Drake, but even though Drake did have a stronger verse it still bothers me how people discredit Jack only to give props to Drake. It’s definitely a Drake type beat with his flows and I’m sure people would be just as critical if Jack came in with Drake bars and “copied” his style, probably wouldn’t feel genuine either. Jack’s got his own style and way of writing that really doesn’t have to be compared to other artists like Drake, Lil Wayne, Eminem, etc. I for one really like Jack’s way of writing, even if it’s more silly and not as deep or lyrical as other rappers. Just my opinion though 🙂

Drake is the only one that’s battle tested out of the three. We don’t know how Cole and Kendrick move and operate under pressure. How would beef affect their roll-outs; what do their shows look like during beef; how do they manoeuvre certain situations when there is always this elephant in the room that everyone knows about; what would they do if their opponent just dropped a bomb on them while they were working on an album - speaking of bombs: all three of them were “hiding” kids from the world at some point 😂 I just feel like Drake knows how to move during “war” in comparison to the other two. And also, Cole already bowed out and basically accepted that he is third. The real head-to-head we need to see is Kendrick and Drake. They need to stop subbing each other and give us the opportunity to decide who is actually the goat. Just based on what we have seen, I think Drake would surprise many.

I will say I wish the the flow and bars on this track was featured more throughout the album. I know Jack was experimenting but it feels so forced. The man has bars so why we only seeing it here on this song? There are other songs that aren’t terrible (imo) but they don’t live up to his talent.
