Song Copyright to Jack Keyes

I was excited to hear that Jack was playing again, as well as the fact that this particular evening (along with Dylan, Ellie Ruth, and Earl) supported feeding the houseless folks within the Louisville community.
I think a lot about the music scene I entered with my iPhone three years ago, filming with the 30fps settings, and how the music scene looked. Topics in songs ranged from standard alcohol to weed, to sex, to being upset with the government, among other titles. It was a loosely fit belt that bands wore, weaving their own sounds within the broader (at the time) Bowling Green scene. But then PAKG came by three times and played Tidballs, and surprised me with their music. And Daniel Donato, Young Romantics, etc….
Jack reminds me of the things we need to sing about, writes songs about, remind people about, the things we can focus on. His almost childlike gesture of gentleness defeats any of that biased perspective on “being in the music scene” as mentioned above. I think we really have a strong talent here, on acoustic solo himself.
