I think that England need to get this guy back into football as the national game is in dire need of innovation. Do people really believe that EPL is the best league in the world were the average team can barely string 15 passes together. Watch any EPL game and you can see that teams cannot pass the ball (exclude the top 5)
sorry mate it was the austrian hungarian team that started to experiment in total football the hungarians made it their own and michels was inspired by them before 1950 there was no total football at ajax and it was rather a mess, michels brought the dicipline and training to make it in to a style we now know as total football it took him multiple years to get ajax at the level as they did in 1969 1971 1972 1973 and national team 1974 , his influance on the game was great and it showed in the 1988 team as total footbal was reignited and in 1992 reynolds not so much. it was the magical hungarians with puscasz that layed the foundations for total footbal.
