Jack White has single-handedly brought back vinyl records to the mass market. His 2014 release, "Lazaretto", sold more vinyl LPs than any album since the early 1990's. Here is the hidden track under the label on side 1, played at 78 RPM with an Audio Technica AT-LP-120-USB turntable. Some people have had trouble playing this track, as some turntables have an auto-return of the tonearm before it reaches the label, and most turntables today cannot play at 78 RPM. I also show the hologram that is etched in the runout groove.

He sings the song Pusher Man by Curtis Mayfield. The lyrics aren't: "I love some weed". But it's : "Want some coke? Have some weed"... It's about a dealer and the people behind the drugs. How he is evil but good, a victim and a villain at the same time...

Awesome! The only thing I'm wondering is, does it damage your needle?

Unlike 78 rpm shellac records from the 50s and before, this pressing used the standard microgroove groove cutting but at 78rpm, further it's vinyl not shellac that were filled with abrasives like old records, so it won't wear your stylus. Additives were used on the old records to make them less brittle (but they were still brittle.) Use the same stylus as 33 and 45 rpm records for Jack's record. Old 78s had much wider grooves, typically 2 mill to 6 mil. 3 mil is typically used. Conical shaped stylus were required or else damage to both the stylus and the record would occur.

Can you play this on an automatic turntable ? I guess not, mine can't reach that far on the record without returning back to square one...

Without modification, automatic turntables aren't going to work with this. Use a manual turntable.

Real cool how you stopped it on the angel's thin side 8-) Can you flip a coin that way?

farswept It's hard to explain how it's done but whenever it's stopped, it's always a single line.
