There are no words to define the emotion and joy I feel to see this video again on RU-vid, because it is one of jackie's interpretative masterpieces, from her...to eternity !, the sun shines again! in the classical world
11 years old...11 years old....11 years old, I have to keep reminding myself, she's only 11 years old!!!! I just can't imagine an 11 year old child singing like this?? She has to be God's special prodigy!
For me, this is, was Jackie's best performance. At the age of 10, 11? Come- on! Like the art she stands among in that room....she shines bright as a star going nova. So pure and angelic. And.....she's still going strong. Ya know, they took this showing down for a long time. So glad it was put back up.....thanks.
DWMIC should be preserved for future generations in the Smithsonian. It was equivalent to a gymnast scoring all 10's in every event in the Olympics. Some of her performances, like this one, were beyond 10's; beyond perfect, indescribable. The beautiful voice, the beautiful music, the beautiful girl, the beautiful room surrounded by incredible works of art - all work together to make watching this an ethereal experience.
Albert Einstein was right, there is only something bigger than the universe !, and it's ... the human stupidity !!! What were the directors of SONY and the family of jackie thinking when they allowed is it to erase not only jackie's videos but "jackie's musical life"? ; the most watched videos of jackie were deleted between 5 and 7 years ago, from then on the consumption of internet and youtube has been massified by 10 !, videos of Jackie, who had 7, 8 or even more than 10 million, many They should to have more than 50 million to date! and with that jackie would be recognized throughout the world!!,It is true... "Human stupidity is infinite!
Maybe stupidity to too strong of a description but yeah I feel your frustration and I'm sure many things could have been done better, and still could be. But then I don't know anything about the inner workings of the music industry so perhaps they're doing things right and I just don't know it yet :) .
Yes & in addition, I haven't seen ANYONE else's videos deleted. They're still up from Day 1 & have accumulated millions of views. Looking at Jackie in comparison, makes her appear insignificant. Popularity counts on YT!
@@felicidamia1232 Had to give you a thumbs up on your assessment of how Jackie was treated by Sony. I have read quite a bit about the music industry since Jackie appeared on the scene and NON of it is complimentary.
I agree. Really glad this video is back. Its David's reaction to Jackie's self possession and beautiful pitch perfect voice on this video which adds another dimension
I must have seen this video a hundred times, and it still leaves me in tears, too much perfection to handle. Perhaps the best singer, best producer, and best violinist, in the entire world, all together, in a perfect moment.
Have you noticed the violinist ? He is the same Conrad Tao who played the piano in Jackie"s Imaginer. I just can't imagine the talent they both have. When God gave away His gifts these two must have been on the front row !!
Happy birthday! On April 9, 2000, Jackie Evancho, one of the best vocal performers in history, was born. Jackie, all the best to you, continue to please millions of people around the world with your angelic voice and your beautiful appearance.
Jackies mastery of some very ambiguous melancholy emotions is stunning. Just looking at Jackies face while waiting to sing again, you can see she is totally into the emotions of the song. And incredible violin and great piano as well.
@@Anne_Anna21 Do you think you are telling someone something they did not already know? And even if there are viewers here who did not know it, so what? It was written by 3 men, If you do not know their names you can goggle it, just like anyone else who cares can. Hayley Westenra and Viktoria Tocca both sang it years before Jackie. I have heard each of them sing it. In my personal opinion Jackie's cover is the only one worth listening to over and over. It seems you may have a different opinion, which is fine. And if you were listening to your favorite, instead of posting needless comments here, I would not have posted this comment to your worthless post.
It goes without saying that David Foster's piano effort in this video is simply fantastic and of course, Miss Evancho absolutely stuns with her angelic voice. But I have to admit that I'm a little disappointed that, with all of the attention that this video gets, no one says anything about Conrad Tao and his violin work. I just don't see how this performance could have been accomplished at this level without his effort also. Tao's violin is simply the icing on the cake in my opinion and the time, dedication and discipline he's invested into learning to make his instrument soar deserves high praise.
Earlier in this concert, David Foster (host) introduced Conrad and invited him to take the stage on his piano (a rarity) to accompany Jackie on "imaginer". Absolutely astonishing musicianship by both young artists...Conrad at age 16 and Jackie at age 11. The concert in entirety is on DVD available at Amazon Music.
We are the lucky ones We shine like a thousand suns When all of the color runs together I'll keep you company In one glorious harmony Waltzing with destiny forever Dance me into the night Underneath the moon shining so bright Turning me into the light Time dancers whirling past I gaze through the looking glass And feel just beyond my grasp is heaven Sacred geometry Where movement is poetry Visions of you and me forever Dance me into the night Underneath the moon shining so bright Turning me into the light Dance me into the night Underneath the full moon shining so bright Let the dark waltz begin Oh let me wheel, let me spin Let it take me again Turning me into the light
Glad this glorious performance and song has been put back up. There was and will only ever be one Jackie Evancho ... imitators (you know who you are) take note.
Yep, back again. Can't stay away from this performance. I've said it before, for me her best performance at this stage of her career. My goodness, how beautiful, and at 11-years- old. Jackie is the reason we see all these wonderful 9-year-old opera singers coming out. She laid down the "pavement" for the road these young, talented singers are on now, 10 years ago. Bless you, Jackie, and your family too.
Oh my goodness!!!! This one's back!!! My absolute favourite performance of Jackie's at that time, and they removed it! One could not find it anywhere online! So happy its back!!
What can be said. She's incredible. I don't think this kind of talent at so young an age comes along even in 100 years. And if it did before 100 years it could not be filmed so no way to really know! We're blessed to witness the performances of this amazing child.
This performance is so exquisite in every way that is represents the highest level of human achievement. It is just as great a work of art as the paintings is this gallery.
I too will thank you for bringing this performance by Jackie back. It is my favorite. I keep finding myself coming back here. This song covered by Jackie is haunting for me and I can't leave it alone. Just 11 years old and she owns it.
Casper's Cave--God Himself could come on youtube and sing 100 parts at once and play all the instruments...at once-- beyond perfection, and still some would give it a thumbs down even though it would be the greatest music ever played and sung.
It seems she's being encouraged to sing Pop. Not sure what level of success she's receiving, but I doubt it's overwhelming. Most likely just meh. I never catch her on the radio or XM with her Pop Genre. Classical Music needs her back & I hope she understands that's where her talent is destined.
She is a prodigy, a natural vocalist who learns lyrics quickly, understands music structure, harmony, orchestration and interprets instinctively. No training. Here she meets David Foster to audition for his talent contest at age 9. She took second place: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SLijmcVeR2Q.html

@@IgorMelnyk-tj8nd Thank you, of course Cheradanine Zakalwe is not my real name just a RU-vid username. I am nobody, just a music lover. I am English but an ardent admirer of Jackie and her formidable talent and beautiful voice. Slava Ukraine!
JACQUELINE Marie, la plej talenta fraŭlin' en la XXI-a jarcento !! Mi sincere adoras Ŝin! Por ĉiam kaj eterne. Gratulon al David Foster kaj Conrad Tao !!!
Thank you Jackie Thank you Jackie Thank you Jackie. Sorry but I could just go on about this beautiful rendition from 2011. Almost instantly upon hearing it again I was moved to tears as I was back when she did it. Again Thank you Jackie. Sitting here almost patiently waiting for the 3 copies of Debut that I pre ordered from Amazon.
Viewing/listening to this for the umpteenth time just brings on that same sense of wonderment: that three incredibly talented persons of different ages can come together and produce a work of such magnificence. Jackie is still touching our hearts today, with her latest album, *Carousel of Time*.
so happy this video was put up again, I've missed it. With all the wonderful singing Jackie has done over the past 8 years THIS is the one I remember most. How can an eleven-year-old little girl know how to deliver this song? She hits us in the heart with this. So good, so good, so beautiful, so beautiful.
Unfortunately all her performances from this PBS Great Performances concert were removed years ago, thus losing countless millions of views. When Jackie took command of her career at 18 (2 years ago) as an independent artist, she revived them all on her Vevo channel, now gradually gaining attention again.
Thank you once again my idol Jackie for granting my request in uploading Mi Mancherai and Ombra Mai Fu.It makes me so happy! Happy International Day of Happiness to you my forever Idol!
Fantastic, I downloaded this song when it came out and since then, I listen to it, when I am having tough time to sleep due to anti-rejection medication. Simply heavenly.
LATEST: Jackie Evancho is back on stage starting Dec 17, Claire Theater in Millersville PA. 5 March, in Palm Desert AZ, 22 Mar, Ft Lauderdale 23 Mar, Clearwater and 25 Mar, The villages. Expect a new album release around the middle of February.
Greetings from Sarasota. Jackie, you seem to like it here in the Sunshine state. I wish I could have been at Ringling Museum when you did the concert that night.
The violinist is 16 year old, Conrad Tao, who also accompanied Jackie on David's personal grand piano for the song "Imaginer" in this concert. David introduced him to the audience in his introduction to the song. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hX3s2v6qGYo.html
Wonderful voice. Very talented and beautiful. I was on her concert. It was long time ago. Maybe 10 - 15 years ago. After got talent. She had a huge success. Still have videos from those concert. Love her so much.
Wow! I've never ever heard this song before. Jackie, you are so, so talented. Your singing is so expressive, special and absolutely stunning. Bravo! I remember when I first saw Jackie on "America's got Talent' many years ago. I knew that she was going to be a star. Thank you Lord for giving this beautiful, young lady her special voice that so many of us across the world absolutely love!
