Jackie's Lecture At Oxford University Part 1 

A very sad day. One of the greatest has left us. Jackie Mason brought so much laughter to so many. Such a talented man.

I was driving along the M40 one saturday afternoon, listening to Jackie Mason on the radio. I had to pull over onto the hard shoulder because I was laughing so much that I was a danger to other drivers. A very, very funny man, he also comes over as a kind & modest man.

I love this man. Very high level humor without vulgarity and he is a very kind, loving soul. Showing obvious joy making people happy. A most dignified comedian.

I once went to one of his performances at the Shubert Theatre in New Haven, CT. I laughed SO hard, I was having trouble breathing!

I grew old literally laughing out loud at Jackie Mason’s hilarious jokes! Thank God for this archives of his stand up comedy! I can watch them all!

How does Jackie do it? He can do ethnic humor, and be knee slapping funny. I guess that is testimony to his intelligence and comic genius. Love him.

8:18 "he's a controller in the trucking business" :) Reminds me of a friend who worked in a gas station, used to tell people he's "in the oil business".

His expression lends relief to an exasperated world. In other words he's a damn good comic.

JACKIE MASON! AMAZINGLY FUNNY AND WITTY! Jackie endures as perhaps the wittiest comedian around in decades. I find myself consistently laughing at the truthfulness of his portrayal of different ethnic groups! He makes us all realize how ridiculous and humorous certain behavior are whether you are Jewish, not Jewish, or of a different religion or persuasion. Leave it to Jackie to deliver these insights with great wit!

He's a class act.

He opens with honest insults directed at a crowd an an institution that doesn't know what hit them. That's what comedy is supposed to be about.

Look at the quality of that suit...great tailoring.

I love Jackie Mason. His humour has a dignity and old-fashioned class that I can really respect. I don't mean to put down any other style of comedy; I just like his perspective. He doesn't get confessional and he is proud of his culture without insisting that others affirm his cultural identity.

Gosh he is the best! I love that dry joking expression,thats what makes it even funnier! Thanks for brightening my day pal!

All off the cuff, and from memory!-----Have loved Jackie Mason's subtle wit since first seeing him on TV in the early 1960s-----he and Mort Sahl my favorites, though very different styles!

Man Jackie Mason was one of my favorites. Here is a guy who tells a joke with a straight face. It's funny you laugh, he goes on to the next one, without laughing himself. What a genius he was!! 😂

What an enigma already!

I loved him because he was to Jewish, that was what I Ioved most and of course his brilliant humor, I will miss him.

I can imagine Jackie thinking during the introduction "This is goy of goys- look at this kid!" What a wonderful man, a comic genius, and much missed- only Dave Chappelle has his style and guts on what passes for the comedy "scene" today. Look how happy the young people were only 13 years ago. Look at any young crowd today and you see grim faces constantly staring down at their displays. Smartphones and endless pressure from the social sites are the greatest evil of these days.
