What I'm understanding from Shroff's food philosophy is that. He likes the natural taste of the ingredients without too many ingredients that's why no stirring, minimal spices and very particular in that as well. And that is a very good approach which appeals for people like me who suffers from acid reflux. Minimal oil and spices and preserving all the health benefits.
Jackie dada could arguably be one of the most authentic actors in Bollywood. He uses his local dialect without shame. He doesn't sound arrogant. The passion with which he explains the process just goes on to show he remembers his days of struggle and appreciates everything he got. No wonder he became great.
I never understood why jackie shroff has such fame and stardom. Now i can understand. He came from humble begginings , even after becoming a star he stayed true toward it. No other star would have guts to talk about desi receipes, because avacados are highly acceptable and they would loose their ELITE status. Jackie is not afraid to flaunt his roots, and humble beginings. That is why probably my grandfather generation liked him. Today all stars either come from high class metro families, business families or from within industry. Jackie not afraid to be himself, is now quite unique. Those receipes he might not be able to explain because he is not a chef, but probably thats what he ate when his mom made it for him. That eggplant one is quite relatable because my grandfather would say the same thing, my motber still makes eggplant Bharta likes that after learning. Its more yummy when you add roasted tomatoes too. Raw mustard oil is SO relatable, my father saw this and said yep "he is still grounded".
Very much common in maharashtra too . We call it "vangyache bharit". In Hindi speaking states "baigan ka bharta" and in bihar - "chokha" And i think it is common in most part of india not only in bengal or bangladesh .
@@maheshkr.biswas5739 Our recipe is a bit different like we also use potatoes, spring onions, charred red chillies etc. But yeah, the recipe varies from place to place. :D
