You can listen to this on the Warren Zevon tribute album "Enjoy Every Sandwich: Songs of Warren Zevon". Excellent album. Warren and Jackson's old friend Waddy Wachtel on guitar. You can also listen to other covers by many artists on this album.
Jackson Browne - vocals, guitar
Bonnie Raitt - slide, harmony
Waddy Wachtel - guitar
Jorge Calderon - bass
Rick Marotta - drums
This video's videographer Mike Johnstone described about Bonnie,
I'm the videographer on this session. It was down at Jackson's studio "Groove Masters" in Santa Monica. Bonnie was in Scotland at the time so the track was emailed to her, she did her tracks in a studio over there, emailed her track file back to Jackson and it was added to the ProTools file for final mix back at this studio. That's why she's not in the video.

Warren wrote this song about Jackson. One can just imagine back in the day Jackson was just beating them off w/ a stick. He then complains about what a hassle it is to have all these beautiful girls trying to jump his bones. This is Warren's response.

There is a great audiotape of Jackson, Warren and JD teaching Linda the tune back in 76. She giggles at some hardcore lyrics but boy this tune when Ronstadt belted it out was highly invigorating - she gave it vocal justice.

I've been a fan of both Jackson and Linda for a really long time. Jackson has been my favorite singer/songwriter almost from day 1 when I first heard him on the radio. So usually I'm gonna go with Jackson far above anyone else. But I heard Linda's version first and she always wins on this one. I bet they did make Warren Zevon proud!

Jorge Calderon on bass (and no, he is NOT dead, as a 10-year-old post incorrectly stated), Waddy Wachtel on guitar, Rick Marotta on drums.
